The little I have watched of UCiF this year I have seen them succeptable to the mobile QB so I personally feel it is opposite. Add in the rain and I think we have a big day on the ground. The way to beat the gnats is on the ground not the air.

They will sell out to the run and there will be little room to run. Unless you hit some passes early and make them play honest D it won't go well for USF. Conversely hit some passes early the run game will open up and Q will have a good game on the ground as well.

Um, when has he been accurate? He's a great college QB, but he's not a thrower.

He actually has had some accurate games in his career at USF. When he first started I thought DJ could throw the ball better. I was glad to be wrong about that, Q is capable of throwing the ball accurately and it tends to happen later in the season (like hopefully tmrw!)

  3. I have read many times on the forum that they hope Q runs more this game. This is the opposite of what Q needs to do at least at first. Q and Gilbert will need to come out passing and execute early. Particularity dinks and dunks, and I don't mean bubble screens, I mean quick short routes.

We will need to pass to open the run against UCF. They will stack the box and they will put a spy on Q. They have FL speed and athelteism just like we do so we wont be able to out talent them. The good news is that should open up the passing game. If we can execute it will force UCF to change their game plan and then we can start running. This will be how we win.

Houston put a spy on Q and stack the box and I would expect to UCF to be more effective in doing so...

  4. It complacency and playing it safe on O that is killing this team.

They expected to be able to just open up the O and have everything work no problem. Well there you go...

You settle for the field goal going up the middle twice instead of going for the win and then don't take the extra 20 secs off the clock which comes back and bits you in the ass

Let's not go crazy here. They have a hatless garden gnome and the incredible shrinking narcissistic man. We've got Mr. Actual/Announced Attendance.

Who cover their team and don't write like they have been forced into covering the local team letting out their discontent throughout the article...

  6. Does any FL have coverage with such a negatively slanted bias as we do? Even with lots of positive things going on he will find his negativity. I think its fair to be critical but JK is most comfortable writing in a negative tone. I accidentally read JK last article and he constanly adds slights and jabs.

I know you know this @Apis Bull, more for others...

"BCS Calculation. The teams were ranked each week in the Bowl Championship Series Standings by their BCS Average, which gave equal weight to the BCS Standings three components; the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Harris Interactive College Football Poll and an average of six computer rankings."

    Which was important in 2013!!
