I am concerned with trying to run up the gut so often though...our strength is usually speed not power

I'm a little paranoid the offense has taken a major step back. I saw it the way the reporter did who called it "vanilla".
I wouldn't be...did u see our offense last year? It wasn't the most complicated scheme in CFB.

So is McCarney some how associated with the Bulls again?
T. Dungy - "Champions do the ordinary things better than everybody else"
So true and applicable in many aspects of life.

Super stocked I will get to see the game. I am sure fellow Bulls outside of Tampa will be equally as excited. It just makes sense for the number of alumni the university graduates to make this available and grow the fan base.

Winning all your games is hard. Too much parity. Even teams with there pick of talent still have that "unexpected" loss. Here's hoping to a perfect season though...

The way I understand how the board can handle this is that any currently linked external images will no longer show. That's probably not ideal, but ok.
Future linked images through the "Insert other media/Insert image from URL" functionality will go through a process to save and link through the site so those images will work and be secure.
I know you know your stuff, does that sound alright?
Yeah. I didn't think the current site made a local copy of external images but sounds like it should be fine :-)
-
Sounds good Brad. I am a little confused though, are you saying that any externally linked images will also need to be https?

He did good. I never would have guessed Mack was 3 lbs heavier than D. Cook or that Cook would run the 40 faster. I most likely would have switched those two stats.
Mack is just about in that elite category with Cook. Maybe one more year and he could have been even better as far as the combine is concerned. But now he gets paid to become better.

Seems Blue Adams is going through a very personal struggle and may need a change of scenary.
Oof, that is gutwrenching. Hope the change of scenery helps for him.
Made me a bit teary...I don't know how I would react in a similar situation. Definitely would put life in perspective. Wish him and his family the best.

Some info I found about CCS defense from none other than a Texas forum lol

See link above for CCS D from a little while ago. I don't expect Strong to change the D he runs based on our personal but I could be wrong. At any rate I think he runs a disguised 4-3 from a 3-3-5 look. Interesting read and we definitely won't be vanilla on D next year.

Personnel. We don't have a true 3-4 NT on the roster. Our defensive ends are also not of the power variety which you need in the 3-4. 3-4 DE's are typically just slightly smaller a little more athletic DT's. We definitely don't have enough 3-4 type ILB's on the roster. You need bigger physical guys inside that are great at attacking and getting off blocks. All our LB's struggled with this (Temple and FSU games are the most glaring example) The one thing we do have is enough tweener DE/OLB's but other than that we don't have the front 7 personnel to run the 3-4.
Have you seen the D Charlie runs?

When was he running out of the backfield? Isn't Dixon a safety?

Sry I was referring to Deangelo Antoine lol

An interesting take is that if I am Q, I am looking at CCS and thinking that he has actually groomed a QB to go to the next level in TB.
If CCS is as good of a coach as I think he is, he knows he needs to make a splash at USF which could in fact be his last stop. Make a big enough splash get into a P5 and CCS stays.
Q can be part of this splash. Due to circumstance out of Q's and CCS's control I don't think he will be able to get the Heisman but he should be sitting in the front row, get lots of attention and be a serious contender. Would be curious who his competition might be cuz he has a legit shot.

MVS was already starting to ball out last year. Helps to have RA diverting attention but I expect for McCants to step up and have some serious weapons on the O next year.
Q of course. The way he ended in the bowl game was amazing. He was throwing the ball so well...might be the best game he ever had as a QB. Hoping to see him co.rinse to progress as he did last year. Exciting time to be a BULL!!

Who will be our next group of stars from the players that haven't played yet ( or only played a little) ? I'll throw out a couple. Interested to see Devontres Dukes, Micario Stanley, and Malik Dixon. Not sure how much time Dukes will see as the WR depth is strong. Stanley should get alot of action on Special teams and backing up the LBs. Dixon played some in 2016 and appeared to be solid prior to the season ending injury.

IMHO
You guys have an eye....Dixon looked to be a star in the making. He had that extra shift to make guys miss in the backfield, more so than Sands in my opinion.

What's interesting is to look at the attendance. It appears that our fan base nucleus has in fact grown as most opponents in 2016 did not have the draw that many teams did in 2007.

I was as well isn't his initial coaching pool money kind of small?
I assume that Gilbert is coming.

I am actually not sure how this game will go. My take is that our O is most likely average-slightly above. In our conference, we have been able to out talent most D's. When we have faced well coached or a team with equal or more talent it breaks down pretty quick. This O is not out-scheming anyone...
I haven't watched South Carolina all year, but I would guess they have some talent on the D and Muschamp is a defensive guy. I think our O production is a bit relative to the talent/defensive coaching we face. While there are some wrinkles in our formations, they will put a spy on Q and force him to throw. If he has a average day throwing I think we will win easily.
Go Bulls!

Please do your research UT was run like a country club during Browns Tenure.. When Strong arrived the players were soft.. he kicked most of those guys after giving them chance after chance to get their act right

While Trip is correct here, my view is that its the job of new blood such as your to exert some energy and earn yourself keep...a cutting of the teeth if you will. It helps feed the trolls and reveals their true nature to newcomers ;-)
Just mind the rep points next to the username, little minus sign with red negative number typical == exuberant troll. I would also say rep points hovering at about 1% of total post could be a covert troll.

My concern is for the Bulls fans who have been so hurt in the past that they can't allow themselves to enjoy a good thing WHILE it's happening.
Ex. Back end of the Taggart Era
Hopefully if things go as well as they can, we can all enjoy the Strong Era and live in the moment together.
Is this true? Certainly not a majority. I would question if there has even been a significant minority of those whom haven't enjoyed the recent success.

Have people on the forum actually said he didn't have a strong arm? It's funny because he has touch on the long ball more so than most I have seen at USF. It was the short to intermediate ball that was not so accurate which is supposed to be easier...
