I have been looking forward to seeing Jason Sherman in action for some time now. From what I have read about him he has excellent speed, runs a 4.4, and good hands; however, he brings size(6-4") and strength to the field, which translates to delivering big hits to unprepared defensive backs, Crack-back blocks, and he looks to open lanes by making key blocks all over the field. This type of WR is exactly what we need.

Penn State will be in the mix for the Big Ten title if all the holes can be filled and if QB Anthony Morelli can improve. Just about everyone else should be improved with Iowa certain to bounce back, Purdue, Michigan State and Minnesota good enough to go to bowls, and the projected also-rans, Illinois, Indiana and Northwestern, all appearing to be far, far better. The best team should be ... Wisconsin 4. Pac 10 - It's not just USC and a bunch of other teams. While the Trojans will likely be the preseason No. 1, Cal has its best team yet under Jeff Tedford, UCLA is loaded and has the potential to be a top-ten team, Oregon should be more consistent, Oregon State has its best team since the Fiesta Bowl winner of 2000, Arizona State should be better under Dennis Erickson, and the rest of the league is full of improving, pesky teams, most notably Arizona. The best team should be ... USC 3. Big East - While the Big East might not be the best conference in the country, it's loaded with more good teams than ever. West Virginia, Louisville and Rutgers will all be in the national title chase, Pitt, after a few years of great recruiting, should finally be the team Dave Wannstedt wants, South Florida is good enough to shock the top teams and win the conference title, Cincinnati will be more than fine with Brian Kelly at the helm, Connecticut is older and better, and Syracuse, well, Syracuse should be a little better. This should be a fascinating race. The best team should be ... West Virginia 2. Big 12 - Yes, the conference is back as long as the North holds up its end of the bargain. Kansas State, Kansas and Iowa State should be better, and Colorado can't be any worse, but the real stars will be Missouri and Nebraska with the Huskers possibly in the national title chase. The South should be a killer with Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Texas A&M each standing a puncher's chance of knocking off Texas or Oklahoma for the title. The best team should be ... Texas 1. SEC - And it's not even close. You could flip around the other five BCS conferences in any way and it'd be hard to argue against the order, but there's no way anyone but the SEC can be named on top. Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas and Auburn would be among the favorites to win any other conference in the country, while South Carolina isn't far behind. Kentucky is good enough to go back to a bowl, while Vanderbilt has the experience to finally get back to the post-season. Alabama will be a nasty out with Nick Saban coaching. I am new to this board so probably no one knows anything about me here.  With that said I have been a USF supporter since the day I enrolled.  Now that I am an Alum. (and not having to stick my head in the books all the time like when I was a student) I have become a bigger fan and supporter.  I love the FB program and the direction it is going.  If I didn't I wouldn't own season tickets like I do. Can we beat Auburn? Yes.  But we better be ready from the first whistle. Will a win or loss change my view of the program? No. I am a die hard Bull. But I do think it will open other people's eyes in college FB that might not think we are as far as we are. By the way I will be at the Auburn game with a big group of BULLS

Hello Steve. First I will say that I am an optimist while you are a pessimist beyond reason. Let me answer a few of your points: The Utah game was 2 seasons before CUSA so to say we would lose by 40 points is baseless. I can give examples of 31,556 posts of uninformed drivel from a handle called Smazza I played 4 season of Division II QB, have coached youth football for 10 years, been following football for 40 years and I have been to every Bulls home game and one bowl game yet you see me as a football novice. Being a lawyer, shouldn't you know who you are speaking to before you open your mouth. Recruiting is subjective and there really is not much difference between 3rd place and 6th place when it comes to recruiting. It is what you do with the players and if you can keep them in school that matters more. You are correct that you can stay on this board as long as you like but I just wanted you to know that I for one am tired of your crap.

Dexter McCluster, an original USF commit who switched to Ole Miss, said yesterday that the main reason for his switch from USF to Ole Miss was that USF required for him to take a foreign language and advanced algerbra. Maybe you guys at UCF need to come up with another excuse on why USF is better than you.

If you want to play with stats then lets go.  According to Rivals,  USF has 3 recruits with 3 stars that have a rating greater than 5.5(borderline 3-star) UCF has 0. Also,  USF have 2 recruits with a rating of 5.4(highest 2-star) while UCF has 0.  I do think you are crazy but I will congratulate UCF on a fine recruiting class.  That said,  I believe ours will prove to be and is superior. BTW - Frank Harry has 2 seasons left unless you are thinking that he will be so dominate that he will leave for the NFL after 1.

How many games did you go to last year? If you are truly a USF fan why don't you say something positive about the team? Why don't you take your West coast bias and get the hell off the board. Your crap is not wanted here any more.

On Rivals, Utah and S.Miss barely beat us. After adding Stirrups, Only BYU beats us on Scout. I will take our class over theirs every time.

This counts Stirrups as a soft verbal or another words not part of the rating. As soon as Josh Newberg puts the LOI into the database, we should move up to the mid 50's.

That rating does not count Stirrups so we will finish in the 50's. BTW you continue to harp on how we did better last year but 4-star C.Hill you said can't QB, 3-star DeArmus quit, 3-star RJ Anderson left for baseball and 3-star Matt Grothe you said is too small. This years class is much better at least on the surface.

We can only go by what we have available. If he is as good as you say, I am sure all of us would love to see film on him. That said, from what I have seen of him and Matt Grothe on film, there is no comparison.
