  1. I've missed the dysfunction and can't wait to watch the chaos on here. Beer/wing run soon cometh.
  2. I'm happy your making a decision that makes you happy. As for me, I don't let the games get to me like that because it's just a game. I'll be enjoying myself just fine because I can tolerate differing politics and don't have to hide in a bubble.
  3. Virginia Tech Vs Virginia was canceled due to Rona too Virginia Tech's game with Virginia PPD by COVID https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/29867370/virginia-tech-game-virginia-sept-19-postponed-coronavirus-issues-blacksburg via @ESPN App http://espn.com/app
  4. Besides an injury free Bulls victory, of course. I'll start Energy and enthusiasm on both sides of the ball for 4 quarters An improved and in control Jordan McCloud An offensive line that looks consistently competent Somebody, anybody, step up and make plays at DE An offense that actually plays with good tempo and gets the ball to its playmakers consistently Specials teams that aren't an "adventure" every time they take the field
  5. They beat GT last season we lost to them. This game will be closer than many here expected and this place will melt down. FOOTBALL SEASON IS BACK AT THEBULLSPEN DOT COM!!!!
  6. If he can get the team to play hard for the entire season and finish better than they started I'll be happy.
  7. Just wait until after Saturday. THE BULLSPEN IS BACK BABY!!
  8. To prove himself. He was a Co-OC with Tony Elliot at Clemson and had a coach with a big personality in Dabo. This is his chance to prove he was a larger part of their success than some of people think. He seems like a sharp guy and very competitive and is probably aware of people thinking he was just along for the ride at Clemson.
  9. I'd imagine the first player a new offensive minded coach would want to meet is the starting QB. He's probably seen the majority of it with his own eyes, unless you think McCloud put on all his muscle in December and January and was already bulked up when he saw him....
  10. People here complained about this during BJ and QFs first years starting too. With experience comes maturity (usually) and leadership. It can be improved just like decision making, mechanics, and arm strength.
  11. Who was also a 4 star kid recruited nationally with expectations two compete for a job right away. McCloud was always a kid you wanted to develop for 2-3 before putting him out there. He's only played QB a handful of years. Also, Asianti Woulard wws chased off by all everything Josh Rosen. It didn't mean a thing once he got here. It's not about who beats you out it's about who you are as a QB and Johnson and Fortin are currently guys that can't beat McCloud out. CJS even mentioned he was starting to see separation in the QB battle. All 3 will get snaps this weekend so let's see who does the most with them while Citadel has its starters in. It's not some wild theory that a kid (especially a freshman) can make tremendous strides over an off season
  12. This. Let the kid play he might surprise you or might be a place holder but let's find a out before we write him off
  13. Lots of people forget how lost Flowers looked against SMU. It's crazy to me to think that players are who they are the first time they touch the field and will never get any better. Is McCloud the answer? Who knows but to outright right off an player so young and raw is foolish imo.
  14. Not surprised by this at all. McCloud looked good in spurts last season and His experience and respect in the locker room gives him a leg up on the other guys. People act like he wasn't thrust into action way too early when he came in ideally a kid you develop 2-3 years before you put him on the field. He's only been playing QB a few years too so he was and still is raw. He realistically still has lots of growing into the position and had decent physical tools. I don't think he has a strangle hold on the job by any means but it's his job to lose now. If last season taught us anything about McCloud it's that if he goes down he'll go down fighting.
  15. Our DE situation is extremely troubling DT is slightly better but nothing to write home about. I'm hoping the new OL coach is a miracle worker but I'm not holding my breath after what I saw from both lines last season
  16. McCloud is still young and isn't mechanically sound. If he can clean his game up he could make a big jump. He was always a kid you wanted to sit and develop 2-3 years before relying on him due to his limited time playing the position. He was forced to be the guy much earlier than the coaches wanted, behind a very bad OL at that. I think it's too early to count McCloud out of this race.
  17. Now if we could just get the OL to a respectable level of play
  18. It's a wide open competition. I wouldn't be surprised to see anyone out of Fortin, Johnson, McCloud, or Smith. It's all going to be about who can grasp and execute the system the quickest with limited practice time.
  19. Looks like a good get. Productive at the G5 level last season and adds much needed experience to the group. Him and Mathis on the field at the same time would a nice combination
  20. Per his twitter. He said it was for financial reasons. I wish the kid the best
