    there was a picture on the oracle of some guy decked out in gators stuff at the USF spring game and there was some little mini headline that said "off by a few miles." (i think thats what it said) this made me laugh. stupid gator fans. Honestly, dealing with gator fans here is like dealing with Boston fans at Devil Ray games...

    i cant even get PAX in my dorm, its pissing me off because i have no antenna, and the basic cable doesnt get pax for some dumb reason. USF Residence halls are screwing me over by blacking out all the lightning games and making it completely impossible to watch the rays...but i was watching the game tracker online, its too bad out bullpen sucks. but im watching espn and the rays just made top 10 plays. twice. well actually one of them was a rays play and another was that boston play in the 9th with the bases loaded.

    haha Boston Tea Party...thats funny...yes the people of Tampa Bay need to learn to care about their tea...then maybe one day we can start going to games just like Boston fans do, and sip on tea and make the Rays feel proud to have fans that truly care about their tea. ah yes...but yeah i do get your point, but Boston has years of history, and a better stadium that is in a reasonable distance, and a recent world series win. The rays have the craphole in St. Pete, consecutive losing seasons, and play in the most competitive MLB division. but...They do look much better this year, they have the makings of a .500 team, just bring them to Tampa...that will spike the attendance by 10,000 or so more a night. And weekend games even more than that.

    the marlins had 8,000? thats less than the rays who are about 12,000 since after the opening day game. Man the Marlins situation is worse than i thought.

    if a new rays stadium could ever be built, i think it should be built downtown, it gives you more prestige when you can see the city skyline in the backround. I know its not likely and nobody wants to pay for it, but its the best thing that can be done for the rays and it will be worth it when we can finally field a competitive team...thats the only way to get consistent support, heck id probably go to a rays games once a week over the summer (even with them sucking) if it was in tampa, its a cheap night out. They usually can win at home too, last year they were .500 at home. Tampa could easily be a baseball town. Just let them in.

    Its practicly sold out, 38,000 out of 40,000 sold so far. I wish i could be there but I dont even have a car. :'(

    McNeese St. will most likely make whichever quarterback starts look like an offensive genius...but thats good because whomever gets the start will slowly be able to adjust to the game speed as the competitive level increases weekly.

    it must be just the dorms then, thats so weird though because sunshine always works except when a game is on. The cable is included in my payments of $614.00 a month so yeah im pretty pissed off. But im getting out of here and into an apartment next year so whatever.

    I am usually able to watch the lightning in my dorm room but over the last month or so all the games are being blacked out on sunshine...it doesnt matter if its home or away and its really annoying...does anyone else have this problem at all? or is it just the USF dorms?

    In my opinion you cant call bucs fans banwagoners anymore. There has to be a certain point of fan consistency where you can just say "bucs fans are no longer bandwagoners." The so called buccaneer "bandwagon" have sold out every game since the end of the 1997 season. That includes two losing seasons in a row, a disapointing 7-9 season and a 5-11 season and the buccaneers still had no trouble selling out after that. has miami sold out every game since 1997? or even 2000? Do they have a season ticket waiting list that is over 100,000? The point is if we had such a huge bandwagon problem, people would have stopped showing up last year way before our 11-5 season. Bucs fans arent going anywhere.

    I went to Miami to see them play the Bucs back in the 2000 season in the pouring rain and it was great because there were more Buccaneer fans than dolphin fans, especially torwards the end when we won 16-13. at least i think that was the score.

    perhaps they could shut down alumni drive temporarily and rerun it through all those fields they have the intramural sports on, or just build the stadium on the field. I still think the best place would the the university mall

    ah yes i can see that outline, it looks kind of small though...I know its early in the program so a small stadium will be fine for now and maybe a few years but in the future the Bulls will need something that can fit 65K or more...especially with the upcoming population boom in Florida.

    they need to buy university mall, demolish it, and build a brand new football stadium...that would be sweet and betst for the program, but probably wont happen for many years.
