1. He was arrested on other charges, but now with a DUI. Even if it was a DUI...would it matter? USF had a starting TE (Bleakley) arrested for a DUI this past fall (2 days after the McNeese St Game), and Leavitt still played him just days later in their next game vs FIU that Saturday (Bleakley did not start). DUI is no big deal to some coaches. PS. Didn't USF have a football coach recently arrested with a DUI as well? Nobody cares what you think, hillbilly, go back and work on the crime around your erector set stadium. Better yet, maybe finish that AA of yours and really pursue a career in law enforcement. i'm sure you'd look awesome to your UCF buddies in a nice meter maid outfit......
2. This link was very helpful, thanks. i had to work today and it was cool to follow the team. unfortunately, i had to leave , er, finished my stuff, in the 8th and the bulls were still down when i left. very cool to see them win. GO BULLS!
3. Where's the voice of temperance, Haulinbull? I"m sure he'd suggest capital punishment and the death penalty for the Cocks.
4. Geez, imagine that, a new coach, some new enthusiasm, lots of new players and a new attitude and VOILA!  Wins, enthusiasm........wow.  Off topic comment removed
5. are you related to rmc??? this guy should have been shown door last year he may have set usf basketball back 5 years These are priceless. This guy should be a comedian.
6. . Coaches know that they are hired to get fired. It's the business...and they know it. Plus, some coaches are hired by their very good friends (AD's), and sometimes, AD's have to "let go" their friends to change the program around. Heck, even WINNING doesn't help some coaches (see UCF's Speraw), as many AD's like to bring in "their guy". Long-term Coaching Contracts are guaranteed...so at least Coaches know that if they are fired before the end of the contract, they will still earn the $$$$$.
7. Ha...honest fellow, good for you. You must not be an attorney.
8. DING DING DING DING!! WE HAVE A WINNER IN THE REASONABLE MAN CONTEST!!!!
9. Div I Athletics is a business...and when your business (Athletic Team) doesn't perform, that usually means a loss of ticket sales, donations, etc...and most schools (AD's and President) make changes to their "business" (i.e. Coaches) to try and improve their incoming revenue. Collegiate Athletics is a big-time business...that's why you have school after school trying to build the biggest/best facilities on earth...and spending $$$$$ like they were pennies. If revenue (or expected revenue) is down...and a program has short-falls...then yes...W/L record probably comes into play. Collegiate Athletics is almost like those that want to donate to Charities...as when the head of the Red Cross was "wasting" tons of $$$$$$ on himself and his friends...folks just STOPPED donating to the Red Cross...which hurt the Red Cross...so the Red Cross fired their top guy...earned their respect back...and now their donations are back up. Just follow the $$$$...and that's where most AD's will make their decisions. Go home, man. Talk about the Red Cross in the sandpit behind your trailer or erector set. We're talking about USF sports here, we dont' need nor want your opinion. Bye.
10. and p.s. I see Smazza as this caricature of a Nicholson/Deniro kind of guy, sitting in his boxers, wife beater on, big screen porn on in the background, ceiling fan like Casablanca slowly turning in the background, triple scotch, heavy ice next to his keyboard, melting on the cover of old Street & Smiths , Hustler, the Daily Racing Form and CCH supplements, while he pounds out those 20 letter posts.
11. Wow, I know it's cold in tampa tonight, but is it even colder in hell .......?
12. There's a quote to hang onto until you really need it... Hey, all those great, fact based, empirical analyses and fully authenticated postulates, HOW COULD I NOT BE COMPELLINGLY BE CONVINCED?? F the wins and losses, Moe, Larry, Curly, Mac, all must be right, Moi? Wrong...
13. Put down the pipe, bro, it's getting too hot in your room. No one comes on here and bitches about wins, WTF are you talking about? The real discrepancy between those of us with 20/20 vision, and those of you with green and gold goggle is very simple, yet hard to fathom. I'd like to think that we're all REALISTIC, not falsely negative or positive. I cannot look at the wins and losses - no road losses, bottom 10% of teams in the conference, no matter the conference, RPI 150+ - and yes, i see some transfers improving us, but no, Zeus is no hero, no, Aris no hero, I'd take 20 Grandsberrys, and we still can't recruit high school kids with any consistency. As long as we're the haven for ALL TRANSFERS in the USA, to a point, we'll get a little better, but we're not building a program, and that's not good. As I've said before, Wooly is the MVP with his early season schedule, and everyone has to admit the Big East is MUCH weaker this year, so is our record better, absolutely, is our progress great, sadly, no. That's realistic, not negative. Please use some facts to convince me otherwise.
14. Baloney. People on here have unrealistic expectations. There were demands that if we didn't get to postseason, Mac should be fired. Everyone wants the team to be competitive, some people just aren't realistic in what needs to be done to get there. Winning one road game in two years might help?
15. p.s. oh, and by the way, use our little board here as the random sample of bulls zealots, Macandcheesers. We have had 15 non-moderator posts on the game contest for each of the last two Bulls games, including tonight. As best I can see, we have 250 to 300 members plowing through here, at least, each day. Given that number of eyes seeing the contest and so few participating, and WE ARE THE ZEALOTS, your man Mac doesn't seem to be quite inciting the passion of the fans...and, umm, I, of course, would be wrong about raising the bar, same for Ari/Herman/Name of the Week, Flsportsfan, etc etc, I now think a lifetime contract is in order. ISNT LIFE GRAND?? GO MAC!! p.s. maybe the same bleeding heart PR firm who got today's article in the fish wrap could get some folks to come to the games??
16. Hey, I"m with you. APPARENTLY ALL YOU APOLOGISTS ARE RIGHT AND I'M A DUMBASS. let's sign up another 5 year hitch with this guy, 3 wins this year, maybe finish with up 4, hell, maybe 50% inprovement next year, we win what, 6?? As long as Wooly keeps scheduling the Buffalo States, etc, we'll win double digits, how in the freak could we want more?? WHAT HAVE I BEEN THINKING, THIS IS NIRVANA!!!! Way to shoot high, Apologists, at least with this plane of vision, you won't shoot yourselves in the foot, maybe the balls, though....**** you guys are weak in the knees.
17. 2nd chance? Josh Julmiste had 5 lives! 1) Arrested in HS...then signed with USF. (Hint 1...Most kids are not ARRESTED in HS.) 2) Arrested at USF...and kicked out of the program. (Hint...2 arrests...bad DUDE...probably wise to let him go). 3) Probably concern for possible drug use. (Hint 3) 4) Initiate drug test...Josh failed it (Hint 4). 5) Tell player not to do it again. 6) Player fails a 2nd drug test (Hint 5). 7) Suspend player for 50% of the season..tell player not to do drugs again. 8) Player fails 3rd drug test. Per University Athletic Rules...player must be kicked out of the program (again in this case). (Hint 6...he is a waste). 2nd chance? Dude had a TON of chances...and wasted every one. Go back to the trailer and erector set. No one cares about your opinion. Shouldn't you be taking your sister out for hamburgers tonight anyways? Tampajo... That's a weak juvenile comeback. Knight Light may be a UCF fan, but he's right in this case. Josh Julmiste should never have had all those chances. That's disgraceful. > Easy there, compadre. No matter the take, i could give a f'in **** what those UCF hillbillies have to say about the state of USF athletics. This has nothing to do with Josh Julmiste, it has to do with this a'hole chiming in to lower the property values around here....frankly, it's a very mature, consistent comeback, track the other 20 or so times I've seen this gaper weigh in with smack, pretending like his opinion matters. It doesn't to me, if it does to you, maybe you should join him on his board. Talk smack about the UCF game, okay, Trailer UCF Boy, but take your Al Gore-statesmanshit back to the erector set, turn on your TRS80 and AOL dial-up, crack open a Busch, and enjoy the UCF crowd rating each others moms and sisters....out.
18. Curry, Jones, and Holmes are unproven, but they came to us with lots of talent. Curry was tearing up the practices until his injury, we shall see what happens but no one is putting 'unreal' expectations on them just come in and do what they are capable of doing and they will be fine. All three were very good outside shooters with the ability to dribble penetrate. Holmes was ranked higher than Altron coming out of HS, so the expectations are already there whether you like it or not. Jesus definitely needs to learn to play within this team, and that's his problem right now he's not getting into the flow of this offense and not being assertive enough when the time comes. CRM has sat him for that very reason. Put the defense aside because he hasn't been that bad at defense it's the offensive side that we need more from him. He has scored 20pts for us twice when he first started, but has tappered off considerably as the team slowly molded into the CRM style offense, an offense he needs to get more comfortable playing within. We all heard all of this before. Aris Williams and Zeus looked great in practice yet for one reason or another it hasn't clicked. The only transfer player that is playing well is KG. That is the caliber of player we need to recruit to play for USF for FOUR years. BTW....while Holmes, Curry and Jones are talented they have never been considered "can't miss players". I think we need to be watchful and moderate how much of a difference they are going to make next year....regardless of who is the coach. USF needs to camp out in front of Scott's door over thenext couple of weeks and hope we can still get him to sign with USF. We also need to find somebody to replace Buckley. While buckley is not great....we have nobody on the roster who replace him. That is the biggest worry. Well said, if any new guys are like Grandsberry, we're great; if they're like Verdejo, we're so so; if they're like Aris, we're f'd. Bozeman, though with potential, has really only produced versus early schedule competition. Despite Steve Auerbach's analysis, seems to me the problem is he's 6'0, and that's just too small to play 2 in major Div 1 ball. AND, if as Steve Riley says, his shot is so slow, ummm, maybe aren't those two facts someone maybe should have noticed while they were recruiting him?

20. .....and these are points well taken, particularly the ones about only being able to buy Level 2 seats, ridiculous, when the lower ones are open, and unsold.
21. Ever get the thought that we might be being outcoached a bit? When one half, or the other, is so crushing (e.g. 20+ point margins) you have to believe that a) if the first half is a rout, the better coaching staff gameplanned better before the game and the other team never adjusted on the fly, having to wait until halftime to regroup or if the second half is a rout, the better coaching staff adjusted better at halftime to the first half trends, OR c) if the second half is a rout, the losing team is either out of shape or thinly benched (e.g. poor recruiting, poor roster management or injury). Bring it on, Apologists, this was a bad loss...
