Thompson definitely played basketball. He lead his Indiana Basketball High School team to a state championship and I am pretty sure he worked in college basketball as a student at Ole Miss. His intention was to get into coaching and by getting involved with the director of operations position it may very well lead to assistant coaching position.

Jeremy Mayfield would be a HUGE pick up! I remember being at the game when he visited and the kid looks like he can play. He fits the mold of a Soloman Jones body figure, but looks a bit more explosive to me. Keep your fingers crossed.

Because it may very well be the next step to a coaching career in College. To be a business manager for a college or even an NBA basketball team you basically need to know how to coach, plays, scenarios, etc.

I was reading Scout's interview with DB Jerome Murphey and this is what he had to say about the QB situation. I certainly hope this how the coaches feel and feel that he may be the guy at # 1 for them as of now (gut feeling).... USFN: What quarterbacks are looking best to you right now? Murphy: I like Matt Groethe, he's really shifty, its hard to hit him. You can't get a killer shot on him cause he'll side step you real fast, he's the hardest one to tackle.But I think he's the one I intercepted the most.

I have ESPN Insider but for some reason when I log in it still does not display the whole story. It seems that J. Starkey wrote a huge peice on our trio of linebackers and it is something that we should all read! Does anyone else have this problem with the article?

Amp Hill is now the # 1 WR on the depth chart w/ Amarri being # 2 and Chambers being #3. Amp Hill must be really good, coming from LSU and already being # 1 on the depth chart. Cedric Hill will start at TE if we ever use that position!

I think that's a great idea...most if not all people would laugh at the women's coach being hired as a men's coach but Jose knows what he is doing. Personally, I don't think he would want to leave the woman's team for he has established a really good program and a future NCAA team. But if he were to be our Men's coach I bet he would do pretty well. In fact, I know he would. It's just a matter who would support him and if he even wanted to coach the men's team if offered the position.

has stepped his game up big time lately! I am confident that if he wasn't callled for traveling at the end of the game that he was going to nail that three! He has been shooting lights out. It is a positive for next year I believe. With Chris Howard at PG, the Arizona tansfer at SG (Viego?), Melvin at the 3, McHugh at the 4 and kentrell Gransburry at Center and not to mention Dennis, Cann, Curry (FR) and yes even Capko coming off the bench that we will probably win some of these close games! I can only hope history does not repeat itseld - injuries and players leaving.

You are going to tell me that Lacrosse is more exciting than even our Women's basketball team...no offense but how can you not support a team that is having success right now for OUR university and on top of that ask for support for a lacrosse team? I tell you what, you come to our next womens game and I will bring myself and 5 other people to the lacrosse game.

Terence Royal graduated this year and he was a DE. You are probably talking about Stephen Nicholas. We may have a good crop of WR's but it will not matter if our offense is run first then throw...I think Ponton will be good, but something inside me tells me that Chad Simpson will be even better if he is given the opportunity. Ultimately CJL will not correct Rod Smith's play calling because as a coach he could have done that this year...a head coach has the ability to override a play call and my guess is that some of the bad plays that we did run were overruled and some weren't. But I think we will be good next year. I say 7 - 4, 7 - 5 after a bowl game if we get one.

What a great post...not really. How about you give the girls some credit? So what if it's Women's Basketball! What other team do we have here that is actually picking up wins the way they do? Have you ever been to a ladies game? It's actually a bit on the exciting side. These girls can actually play, it's not just sitting around and shooting. I wonder if the blind person can see my middle finger?

I was just upset at the moment...part of me knows Coach Mac is the man for this job once he gets a healthy team, but part of me says with his luck he will never get one, there seems too many bad breaks each year. I hope that next year will be different and I think there will be some good potential players and wins next year but then there is that chance that this year can repeat itself next year! Seton Hall's attendance was very pathetic and so were a few of my statements, but I still think Coach could have done some things to prevent the lead from vanishing like it did. I understand that we are all human! One day we will be on this board looking for things to ***** about and I can not wait for the winning days to get here....soon?! Go Bulls!

I am pathetic ehh? Well lets put it this way..Coach could have put anyone and I mean anyone in there as long as they understand the purpose of dribble and pass until there is 3 seconds on the shot clock...it's not rocket science...4 minutes left, up by 10...thats when you sit on the ball, not go to the hoop with 14 seconds left on the shot clock and not only miss but give an easy rebound to seton hall for them to just march down the court...I am true bulls fan, but like you said these guys are playing with their hearts but what the hell is the coach for? The players ultimately play the game, but look at the great coaches in any sport and they will bust out a win just by contolling their players on the court. There are coaches who literally win games for their team! We dont have that in our coach...

You still think C-RM is still a keeper? I know high school coaches who could have done some things in their power, even with all of the mistakes by the players, to ensure this game a victory towards the end. Well maybe next year...

Up by 12 with 5 minutes to go and we cant even hold the lead?! That my friends is the fault of the head coach, no excuses! :-/
