  1. I think he still  has love for USF deep down and couldn't take that job if offered (I doubt ucf wants him anyways). I think he's going to Kansas State or staying on at Colorado

I am a Leavitt fan and can tell you first-hand, he is a complete control freak.  The man will pretty much take the first FBS head coaching job that offers him unless he's generating interest from multiple schools.  UCF or whatever else, he wants control of his own program.

  2. So you're on the side of digging out posts from a month ago and believing they're appropriate for today?

I get that most have a knee-jerk reaction to losses but this whole thread was just an implosion on CWT when there were clearly other things at play in the Navy game.  I would be having the fire CWT conversation if we missed a bowl now after that game.  This thread really struck a chord with me because of how personal it got on the back and forth when all I wanted to do is reserve judgement until after CWT got 3 full years.

If you haven't read through the entire thread, go ahead and check out what an absolute train wreck it is.  You could probably understand why I was re-hashing by the time you get back to this post.

Quite simply, we were down 22-17 and we got the ball back with a chance to score a TD to win.  We fumbled that chance and then sealed our fate with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.  I was just trying to point out the fact that I didn't think that loss would bury our bowl chances.  Unfortunately, it now holds us back from controlling our fate in the divisional race.  Nonetheless, our arrow is pointed up and the future looks bright.

  3. And... I don't know how it just seemed to click mid season.. you really don't see that happen often.

I don;t know what Willie is doing, whether he's finally figured things out, or if these new coordinators are making a huge difference, or what.. But no, I do NOT want Taggart fired, absent UCF beating them 89-0.

This is 1 of the most fun teams I've seen here since maybe 08-09

Although now, and I never thought I'd say this either, they are going to miss this veteran OL next season. The Nordic guys finally seem to be playing well

honestly dude, thank god you came around, because this is something we all should enjoy as bulls fans. I'm just glad we are winning. You have to understand that passion is not always ridiculously positive or negative, bucsandbulls, calibull, and others on here were right, we did get it turned around but it's just about patience sometimes.  Go Bulls

  4. It would not be the first time that a heavily favored team loses to hapless or even win-less rival.  It wouldn't be the last if it were to happen next Thursday.

I do not saying it will happen but let's just hope it does not happen.

That being said, they are our rival and given the opportunity we should stomp them to a pulp.  Mercy rules are waived for this type of game.

Yes, I think the biggest thing here is that we aren't going to take them lightly because they have beaten us the last 2 years.  It's personal for us, it's not like 0-11 SMU team where we just assume we are going to roll.

  5. We got blown out by an FCS team yet it took a comeback by the best team in the history of their program to beat us ... I'm hoping we curb stomp them but it will not be a surprise if we don't.

Another example is the Lightning should have been run out of the building last night but got a win. Anything can happen in just one game.

We had Syracuse Crunch south plus took a penalty in the final 2 minutes of a tie game and still pulled out a win lol.  Good analogy.

  6. Again, on this site, none. If USF wins it's all Taggart's beautiful mind and we are all 'Haterz' for ever doubting his ingenious 8 year plan.

And, here comes the negative points! Here are the top excuses if USF (predictably) loses:

    1. It's the players fault! (the very players they want to give Tags coach of the year for recruiting, but zero accountability when they look poorly prepared )

    2. If you take away (big plays for the other team, which happen) and (change those to big plays for USF, which are rare) then it's a different game!

    3. It's the refs fault!

    4. Well, it was close, and that's all that matters! They became a TEAM today that turned the corner!

    5. But UCF is worse!

    A day early #tbt

  7.

Auggie is very good against the run when it's between the tackles.  His make up speed is not good.  He is also not good in pass coverage.  The coaches have recognized his poor pass coverage and he is off the field during obvious passing downs.  The kid has taken better angles over the last several games and has played well.  He tackles well and goes 100mph on every down.  Tough to teach heart and he has lots of it.  Also tough to teach speed and he struggles with it.

+1 pretty much exactly what I was going to say

  8. Adams won't be lost?  He's a senior next year.

Also, those incoming eligible transfers look good S Austin Hudson (Wisconsin), QB Asiantii Woulard (UCLA), LB Cecil Cherry (Texas), WR M. Valdes-Scantling (NC State), and G Reilly Gibbons (Stanford) who is already eligible but should get a legit to shot to crack the starting 5 next year.

  9. Sooooo, good stuff here. I think before you make your walk you should talk to the athletic department maybe they can goose up a charitable fund raiser thing. It'll make you look less of a clod for sure, although I feel terrible for Blinded Eternal Taggart Optimist, although you could just call him BETO. Do you know your route already? Kind of tough to walk down 301 but its prolly the quickest route and will you take 60 out to Lithia Pinecrest and then down to Fishawk Blvd? or 301 to Boyette and then out to Lithia Pinecrest. More places to get a drink on the former, more sidewalks and natural settings on the latter. The latter would also go right by my house and my family can stand out front and give you motivation! Good luck!

It's funny because even though he typed a bunch of idiotic stuff that he wasn't ever intending to follow up on in the first place, he won't even admit he was wrong (after he said earlier on this thread that he'll admit when he's wrong).  Half of this thread is him whining that all everybody does on this board is blame everyone else but CWT.  He is more worried about hating on Taggart than rooting for USF.

  10. And look how that worked out. You think Miami will be able to sell that same type of hire to their fans again? No chance.

Even though Miami is a private school, they don't use their money to pay big time salary to head coaches.  If they decide to that this year it's one thing, but what they usually pay can afford a G5 coach, a big time coordinator, or somebody out of a job.
