    Well then, I've been robbed!

It is steep, but three of us are making the drive up there in a car with little room for tailgating supplies.  Also, when I do make a bowl game, I like to surround myself with as much USF-ness as I can so we'll be doing the pep rally, the party after, the tailgate, and tickets to the game purchased through USF in the USF section.

    GO BULLS!

    Haha

I'm more annoyed with their price point.  No problems with your decision or wasn't trying to take a dig at anyone that paid for it.  I'm happy they set that up, and I also like to party with other Bulls fans, I just think it's steep to ask people to pay $40 for food with no alcohol included.  If they took that price point down to $25, I think it's way more reasonable.  I'm traveling with a group of 10, 7 of which are having to fly to the game, so I guess it's also difficult to sway a group that big to pay that much per person.

    Go Bulls!

    And here's why:

IF we can hire Charlie Strong:

    1. Our defense next year instantly is top 25. And if thats the case we all know were going undefeated with flowers and company still in the game.

If we go undefeated next year putting up 45+ points every game BUT holding opponents to under 20. We WILL be in the CFP, no doubt about it. (given we will be ranked in the 20s high teens beggining of year if we win)

    2. GUESS WHAT?? If we make the CFP next year and EVEN if Charlie Strong leaves, WE WILL be seen as the hot "Houston" team and we will get the best up and coming coach, which would continue to propel our success forward ala WKU.

    3. In the realignment conversation we will all of a sudden be the hot commodity, which could increase our chances dramatically.

If we get Charlie Strong, and he keeps the same offense, I say watch out. Were going to the CFP, almost no doubt about it.

I like your enthusiasm, but we have no shot at the CFP with the schedule we have next year.  We likely won't face a top 25 team.  Also, instantly making a defense from 100 to 25 is a tall order.  I think Charlie would be a good hire, just disagree with some of the details.

Sell out to win AAC CG next year and get butts in seats. Kiffin would be your best option for both of those in the short term. Make no mistake he would definitely be a 1-2 year rental, but I would take it for our first ever championship. We will not get anyone better who would make us more likely to win in their 1st year here.

Much different hire than in previous years as this would not be a rebuilding. Whoever we hire would be expected to win immediately.

Hate the guy as an individual, but he knows offense and how to recruit, so I can put my personal feelings aside for 1 season.

Absolutely, this is a rental hire as we will be one of the few teams in the country favored in every single game in 2017.  If he leaves after one year because we won the American, so be it.

    My thoughts exactly

It's quite simple really.  Announced was tickets sold, actual was people who showed up.  I was at the empty stadium on Saturday, you have to understand that SMU is a private school that doesn't really care about their football team unless they are ranked.  Think UMiami with an OCS.  Football is secondary to the frat parties on a Saturday night.

  5. Yeah shouldn't be far, Capitol Pub and Henderson Tap House are two good bars that are next to each other.  My group is meeting up around 330-4 at Capitol Pub to get some pre-game drinks.  If you are looking for pre-game food, down that street is a place called Velvet Taco, it's sooo good.  Majority of our group will be wearing Bulls gear so we'll be hard to miss.  Stadium serves beer as well.

I don't think CWT's record at USF is quite where it needs to be for him to start entertaining job offers at places that would be a major step up.  I think he needs at least one more year here like this one is playing out so far to be highly considered for a top job.

I disagree here, most schools don't look at an overall record.  They won't say candidate X is .500 overall.  They look at it as he was 2-10, 4-8, 8-4, let's say 9-3 to be safe in the regular season.  That's a big deal.  I think Taggart is gone after this year with the right offer but I do agree he falls awkwardly between being under qualified for LSU/Texas and over qualified for Purdue.  I hope he's able to stay one more year to finish out the QF era.  Go Bulls

Not as much as they do... a great season for us includes a conference championship. This has no bearing on that goal. For them, a playoff appearance was expected and they need to win out convincingly to get there. A loss to us would be a crushing defeat and dare I say the start to the seat getting a bit warm for Jimbo (assuming they lose to Clemson and maybe 1 more - Miami perhaps).

If you want to sniff the Big 12, it's a must win.

  8. Thanks, didn't know if there were any other regular meet ups.

I've been disappointed by alumni watch parties before (not in ATL) because most people that showed up didn't really know anything about the football team other than we had one, but I'll definitely keep this as an option.

  9. I ran into him at the Miami Beach Bowl and chatted with him for a few minutes catching up from the ol' college days, he is still an avid Bulls supporter and a proud Immokalee grad.  He's pretty close to most of the Immokalee grads on the team and will only help that pipeline.
