No love for us in the halftime discussion of the AAC during the SMU-FAU game.

Let’s not overlook Tulane, too. They are quite capable. They have some bad losses but they beat Memphis, lost to FAU by 1, SMU and Charlotte by 4.

Good day of sales yesterday and last night by the looks of it.
300 level seats are being sold and the overflow student area will be in the 300 level as well.
That’s awesome! Can’t wait to do it again on Sunday!

You didn't have to look far. The first half of the show was positivity about USF .... Some do just focus on the pessimism at times. I guess it's conditioning that hopefully turns at some point.
You’re a hoot. It was fabulous! You changed my mind.

The other guy didn't pick Tulane over USF. He had 3 possibilities; Tulane, USF and Liberty for the G5 entry. He talked about Tulane a little more because his partner had spent the first half of the podcast talking about USF.
Wow! OK, I take it back! It was a WONDERFUL piece of video! Sure sounded to me like he liked Tulane a little better, but what do my ears know?

Name someone on this board that hasn’t said the same thing.
Yep, it’s reality. I was just reacting to the “good stuff here” comment on the video. My good stuff here moment would have been them talking about him making USF a powerhouse.

do a simple google search
We looked at the 3,600,541 total 3-pointers taken since the 2000-01 season (1,249,423 of which were made), and the research shows there is a strong correlation between 3-point success and win-loss percentage.
In fact, the two teams with the highest win percentages since the 2000-01 season also had the highest 3-point percentage since then.
The top overall is Gonzaga, which is 509-109 (.824) this century while shooting 38.2 percent from the 3-point line — both the best marks in Division I.
Right behind is Kansas, with a 536-115 (.823) record and a 38.1 percent performance from deep — both good for second place.

Gonzaga has both the highest 3-point percentage and highest win percentage this century. And that's no coincidence.Nobody thinks we need to change our philosophy in general, but when you’re having a 4-23 night, you may want to take the ball to the basket.

Normally if you look for something good you can find it. Same with bad. Something like optimism and pessimism.
I don’t consider myself a pessimistic guy, but I did zero in on them focusing on Coach Go’s “next” job.

You are correct though. Basketball games go so quickly, then the last 2 or 3 minutes of play take 30 minutes.
Football can be very similar at times.

Good stuff in here.
Hmmm, what stuff did you find good? Them trying to sell Coach Go to UF or another “Power 4” team? Or the one guy deciding that it wasn’t USF for the playoff and the other picking Tulane?

we were going to have an off night shooting. glad it was last night.
do not stop shooting them though. you think curry stops shooting them when he has an off night?

Stephen Curry had a torrid time against a stacked OKC Thunder side, which had the likes of Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, James Harden, and even Serge Ibaka in a...Wasn’t being that literal, just expecting that they would decide to find other ways to score and maybe finally get into the bonus - which they did only in the final minute down the stretch.

Three ranked teams lost tonight (including 24 UF) and Kentucky and Colorado State are both in battles.
-
So we need to pull for FAU against SMU tomorrow, correct? Give SMU its 4th league loss and we’d still have a two game lead over FAU and the head-to-head. Would make Sunday a little less “must win” - or am I reading it wrong?

2 game lead in first place in the conference.
With, I assume, a head-to-head advantage too over Charlotte and FAU. The SMU and Charlotte games are now absolutely HUGE games!

Past teams would have given up this game ... Hideous game. Glad to see us pull it out.
This team knows how to finish games better than any we’ve ever had.

If we don’t pull this one out, it’s on Amir. Should have demanded less 3s and NEEDED Walker on the floor to grab some boards.

What are we from 3, like 4-20?

No idea. They get constant second and third chances on the glass
Where’s Walker? Is Amir having brain lock?
-
Getting killed on the offensive glass. Why isn’t Walker in the game?
-
Outhustled on every possession.
-
STOP shooting 3s JUST STOP!
-
Looks like it’s not going to change on offense tonight, which means you have to pick up the defense.
-
Lousy half but still lead. Cocky half. Didn’t expect to see that from these guys.

Thinking about it, wouldn’t the best scenario for us be to have SMU win tonight and then have us beat them on Sunday? With that, they’d both have 4 losses, we’d have one with three games left and the tiebreaker over both.
