  1. Lets see how it goes tonight, if we look good and win or make it a close game and we show improvement then people may relax. If we look bad and get blown out then you will see more of the get rid of JL posts.
  2. I does not really matter to me who they play, I'm not a FAU fan.
  3. I know, I know...The Flux Capacitor should be working friday afternoon, I just want to fast foward to saturday!
  4. The Cards burn barns when they win? WVU burns couches when the win, if we lose we may burn coaches!!!
  5. I'm not happy with everything the team is doing on offense but PLEASE look at the changes we've made thus far this year. We actually do line up not in a spread formation alot now, it used to be only on the goal line. We actually have a RB that can run thru a hole and carry some defenders. We do have open receivers and the play action is working. But you have to remember that the players and coaches are all learning a new system. They have been taught this spread circus offense from the get go and now that JL FINALLY realizes he does not have the horses to run it, they are changing but it takes time. Remember JL came from the circus headquarters of KState where they have run this offense forever but they also have the horses to do so. We had one fine stallion two years ago but remember it to him time to learn how to run the mile and a half. PJ is learning and JL is learning and unfortunately the entire team is still learning. This is not going to be a great year but they are at least changing the offense to match the personel. Just think if we lined up in a normal 2 back, 1 TE, 2 WR formation last year PJ would be further along and I would venture to guess that Ronnie "The Tree" Banks would have done fine. "The Tree" has a better arm and touch but HE IS NOT A SPREAD QB, he can't read 4 WR's. But give him a running game and play action he would be moving the ball and giving the D some rest.
  6. This is what I posted earlier in the week and I think it still applies: If we stop the pass and not the run we lose 35 to 17. If we stop the run and not the pass we lose 42+ to 28. If we have the game of our lives and stop both we win 28 to 27. But for the prediction contest I must stay positive: USF 28-27 404 Sheffield
  7. Yes you are right but we would need Army and TCU to lose a game. Army because of tie breakers and TCU to force the tie breaker.
  8. When/If they build on campus, I still want my club area!!!
  9. They are already paying for attendance now in the reg. fees. I know back when I went to USF they included the fees and that is the reason we went to the BB games (you are paying for it so why not use it).
  10. That is fine but why would USF pay for land close to campus when they already have the land on campus to build a stadium. I was also thinking about the land on the north side of Fletcher near river park. I think USF still ownes all of that.
  11. RJ is only 15 min from campus so then why build a USF stadium not on campus.
  12. Graduation, lack of growth at the QB position, and recruiting. Even tho' recruiting had gone well the past year and it has been improving every year, we still lack the solid depth and the stud QB freshman. When your a Mid-Major it is hard to pull in the cream of the crop and now that we are moving up it will be easier but we are still in FL. The big 3 get most of the cream, the out of state'rs get the bulk of the rest and then/now we are getting our share but it takes time. Correct me if I'm wrong but I would assume it is easier for UL to recruit the cream of Kentucky especially with UK. The only thing I would figure that would hurt is that UK is in a BCS conference.
  13. We cannot afford another conference loss period. The only game we can lose and go to a bowl is the Pitt game. With 3 teams with no losses and one with 1 and some teams not playing each other it does not look good especially with another loss.
  14. If you would have been able to beat Miami then yes you could have been a BCS buster. But at this point a one loss non-BCS team is not going to a BCS bowl unless every big conference team has at least three losses. If you win out they may bump a new years day bowl for you but don't expect it. Play the Liberty Bowl and wait for you BCS bowl next year.
  15. If JL and USF live up to there potential, how long can you keep JL here? Remember we almost lost him to Bama, if all goes well and he shows that he can rebuild a team, recruit good talent and teach that talent he will become even more attractive to a BIG TIME PROGRAM. Even with the new teams in the BE, the BE is still only a little better than the rest of the Mid-Major conferences. The B12, B10/11, Pac10, and ACC are still light years ahead of what is left in the BE. The BE will keep it's BCS spot because of location only at this point, the BCS/TV Networks still need the NE market for TV revenue.
  16. The season is not over until the clock reads 0:00 at the Pitt game but for our bowl chances the next 2 games will mean alot. Yes we have 6 games left but the next 2 can make the last 4 meaningless. So we do need to take it one game at a time and yes JL has pulled rabbits out of the hat before. We do have a chance to win up in L'Ville if JL turns some things around but on talent and depth alone I don't think it will happen. We need to play that "Perfect" game and we just don't have the dicipline nor skill to do that right now...MY OPINION. So we can hope, pray, and wear all of our lucky gear we want but we won't know until the whistle blows to start the game and the whistle blows again to stop the game.
  17. We may have upper classmen on the lines but that does not make them very experienced as a whole. Some of them did not get much playing time because of people that were in front of them the past few years. So when you mention youth don't forget about experience.
  18. Where would you put the stadium, would it go where the soccer stadium is not or place it on the property that is on Fowler near the Sun Dome entrance?
  19. After spending alot of time on the ESPN board, bouncing from school to school and finally getting fed up with the new format and also realizing that USF'ers don't use the ESPN board I found TheBullsPen. I have enjoyed my time on here thus far, the topics are more or less the same as the ESPN board but what is really nice is that the topics stay focused on sports and what is even better is that there are not many trolls. The only thing I would suggest is to allow a person to not display the signatures.
  20. You may not be looking at the right person, could the play calling be this way because PJ can't see more than half of the field. For the most part he is not hitting the open receivers because he does not see them. Now could PJ being on a half field read be the result of the OLine not blocking. Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda, lets finish the season or at make the descision that the season is over before you put in the young QB's. But again remember we all did not like Blackwell and it took him until his junior year before he picked up the system and really saw all of the field.
  21. I do agree, enough of fire JL. LET HIM PROVE HE CAN OR CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEMS, THEN AFTER THE SEASON THEN EVALUATE THE SITUATION AND MOVE FOWARD. It is not our descision I'm sure the AD can handle this task and I'm sure he is taking notes. The AD wants to go into the BE on a good note and right now we already have one major sport (Basketball) in total rebuild mode.
