  1. I wouldn't be so quick to praise the gator fans on traveling. If they fall to the Independance I don't think that they will travel so well. Plus it is NOT traveling for gator fans to drive within two hours to go to a bowl game.
  2. Not sure if I will be able to go, but I am going to do whatever I can to go. As for Andre: You are the engine that makes our team go. Thank you for all that you have done, and thank you for what you are about to do.
  3. I thought that the St. Johns flowed North because Jax blows, and Georgia sucks. :D
  4. I don't recall it being mentioned. I hate our scoreboards, I love the video screens, butr I wish that they had a running tally of rushing, passing, and total yards for both teams. We seem to be too busy with McDonalds ads to worry about stats.
  5. showing what games will be shown where. I have been trying to find one for 2 days now. I am curious as to where our game is being shown. Maybe someone with better search skills can find it.
  6. The company I work for purchased a block of seats. Hopefully its contagious and many more companies start to get behind the Bulls.
  7. I don't have any way of verifying, and I don't know how they got the info. However, my company has purchased a block of tickets for the game, and they have announced that the start time is 7:30. For what it's worth. Those of you in the know, may be able to verify.
  8. My dad and I were talking about this at the game Saturday. In our opinions CJL has nothing to gain by going to K-State. He has been here from the start, and he will be THE MAN, when he takes us to our first MNC. At K-State he will have to rebuild what is at least this year, not a good program. Their athletic budget may be more than oours, but that will change with time, and victories. Plus he may have cioached at K-State but he grew up in St. Pete.
  9. You are correct. I have been to several Bowl Games, and for the BCS bowls at least 50% of the people there really don't care for either team.
  10. at bowl tickets. I read the post from the athletic department, but saw nothing about any bonus for season ticket holders. Thanks in advance for any information.
  11. I would be interested in acquiring one maybe two.
  12. I have noticed that many on this board detest early game times. Well, we are going to have to get used to them. The better we play the more likely we are to be on TV, and that leads to 12:00 and 3:30 start times (for the most part). It is a sacrfice that I will gladly make in order to get more exposure, and therefore better recruits. I know that there will be occasional night games on ESPN but if we are going to be on ABC then we will most likely have a 12:00 or 3:30 start time.
  13. If my memory serves me correctly state employees can only make so much (Not sure of the dollar amount). For example, last time I read when Bobby got his raise most of the money was from Seminole Boosters and the Nike contract. Same with Meyer's. Most of the money comes from "outside" organizations, not from the school itself. With that being said, CJL does desverve a raise.
  14. Actually it was awaken the sleeping Giant. That sounded SO GREAT, I just hope that we can prove him right. I gave out a big WOOHOO when he said it, my wife was startled. ;D ;D ;D
  15. Miami is not going to the Gator. They are in the drivers seat for the ACC title game, and they will face FSU, and they will beat FSU. So, they will be going to the BCS game. Gator most likely will see VaTech.
  16. I can agree with that. If my memory serves me correctly the FSU, UF series has to be renewed after a few years, as I would assume that most non-conference series' have to be. So that would not be out of the ordinary. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, How did you know about the skank back in my day?? ???
  17. I find it humorous whenever someone says we shouldn't play UCF they are below us, and then read that FSU, UM, and UF should schedule us. Let's face it, we are not in the same league with FSU, UM, UF (YET). I would put it  the Big 3, us, and then the rest of Florida. UF did not want to play FSU but now it is one of the nations largest rivalries. We should play UCF just to have another game, most of us can attend the away games without even an overnight stay. It saves on travel costs, and is another 1-A game.  Just my 2 cents.
  18. Exactly what are you talking about when you say none of the buildings would be open?? Tailgating is done without the school being open. I don't need to have access to the school in order to tailgate. Also, what is open within walking distance of Ray Jay?? As for the location of campus, as I said before most of us who do not live on campus have reliable transportation that will allow us to attend games no matter where they are.
  19. Based on your post I one could believe that ou think that attendance would suffer if we had an OCS. I don't think that is the case at all. All of us who do not live on campus have reliable tranportation that would allow us to attend no matter where the games are. Also the campus is actually in the N.W. quadrant of the County.
  20. First of all I am all for an OCS, however there is no way that Ray Jay is 15 miles from Campus. It may be a 15 minute drive, but it is not 15 miles. None the less, it really isn't an excuse for not going to the games. As I understand it there is a free shuttle to and from the games to campus. On a side note, Great now I am in agreement with WWW. :)
  21. My wife and I drove by this place the other night. It was big and had some lights on top. There were also grass lots on the North and South sides. For some reason it seemed that we had been there before but I couldn't quite figure out for what. I NEED A HOME GAME SOON.
  22. One thing that irks me about the debate. Is that a community ie Tampa, can build a stadium for a privately owned franchise, but can't build (or at least help with) a stadium for a PUBLIC University. I know not everyone would use it, but more people would have access to tickets for a Bulls game than they do for a Bucs game. And to those that say it is a community stadium need to realize that the Bucs get a piece of EVERYTHING that goes on at RayJay. I could be wrong, but I have heard before that no public money can go into athletic facilities.
  23. Let me start by saying that I agree with the catious postponement of the game. With that said, I read in today's trib that the decision for the 1PM home women's soccer game vs Syracuse has yet to be made. Don't they have to travel as well, I know that there aren't nearly as many people involved, but I don't understand how we can have a game on Sunday if we can't have one on Saturday.
  24. It will be interesting to hear his take on the game being postponed.
