I did get some satisfaction near the end of the game.  With USF up 34-17, he was standing forlorn in the walk area between his section and mine.  I gave him an earfull about how it was his fault his team lost because it is bad karma to mess with Rocky.  I also asked him how embarrassing it was for his team to be 0-3 against a new program and how they should have not fired coach Logan (he agreed with the last comment).

My 10 year old stepson and I witnessed Rocky getting punched by an EZU fan early in the game. Rocky was walking through the vistor seating section prompting many a thumbs down (OK). Unfortunately a Pirate fan decided to attack Rocky. He punched Rocky in the chest before being put back in his seat by other fans. Rocky seemed to be OK only a little miffed.

I have been around but no time to post only to read. My computer time is now limited. The co. that I work for got rid of its high speed internet access and went to dial up. What used to be done in a small break is now impossible. At home my wife uses the PC to make lesson plans for the children she teaches.

I remember. I was strictly referring to the div. since realignment. These 2 teams always seem to get most of the better players with the Bosox only losing out to NYY. Milwaukee was pretty good then also.

My whole life I have heard fans of NYY argue with Bosox fans.  It's as exciting and interesting as watching 2 rich guys argue over a $20 tab.

I remember UAB, Virginia Commonwealth and Old Dominion getting at large berths from time to time. Yes CUSA is bigger time but UAB, VCU and ODU are hardly Lipscomb Garner-Webb and Campbell. If there had not been all the hype like showing up on the Rome show or Vitale always saying SG can "flat out coach" I would be less critical. With hype comes increased expectations and I expected a lot more from SG than I ever did from BP.

I don't remember. I know it was a losing one. The point is that even a coach that nobody including myself thought was great was able to have moderate success at USF. SG had no real success in my opinion.

He is only good for a 17-14 or similar record. At least BP took them to the NCAA tournament 2x. I believed all the hype only to watch the team fold in the clutch under SG.
