  1. Nope but improved 5G inside Air Conditioning Individual Seats World Class four sided center hung scoreboard
  2. Oswego State University grad myself Linda Cohn (ESPN) went there when I was there. Steve Levy (ESPN) graduated there about 10 years after me.
  3. Cuse fans loved playing in Tampa despite usually losing. We need to get a home and home series going again in a few years. BTW, many ACC fans want to invite you guys in. Great recruiting area, AAU school, lots of ACC fans in Florida.
  4. By forward passing...yes we can hit 6 yard passes with the best of them...beyond that not so much
  5. We went Wildcat...top 2 QBs hurt. Used a tight end who was a HS QB with some success. Injuries turned us from a 8-9 win team to 6 wins.
  6. Feel free to hijack. If you want some food different than Ferg's try Hawker's https://eathawkers.com/st-petersburg-fl/ Last year before games they had appetizer specials and craft beer specials for a really good price. Looks like they are still active. You can actually make a meal of a couple apps and beers https://eathawkers.com/happyhour/ Another tip: You can park on the block just north of Hawkers. Two lots there are usually $5-10 cheaper than Fergs. I'm like 10-12 mins away so weeknight games to the Trop are a pleasure.
  7. First off, thanks for everyone's input. It was appreciated. My game report. I got two tickets for $6 plus fees three rows up from the endcourt. Team played hard but really lacks a deep threat. Castaneda is supposedly the guy but I didn't see it. Rideau looked awful. Reminded me of that guy on a pick up team who sucks at shooting but won't stop. A guard shooting under .500% for free throws should not be on the court. The Center position was getting beat up too but Durr could get better next year.Really nice 10K seat arena. Beer was Yuengling but if they sold a draft for $5 vs $7 it would be more reasonable.I'd guesstimate about 2500 USF fans and 500 Wichita State fans. Ofcourse many are retirees but a fair amount of younger Shocker fans too. Traffic was hideous. Met my friend at Franklin Templeton about a mile fro the Howard Frankenstein Bridge in St Pete. Left at 5:33pm we arrived at our parking at 6:58pm. Ridiculous. No accidents just congested. I'll go to another game but it will be on a Saturday. No wonder the Ray's can't draw crap...no one from Tampa wants to drive over for a weekday game.
  8. It's a dry heat. LOL Seriously, way less humidity but mid afternoon is scalding if above 90.
  9. A few things I'd pass along. Plan on a minimum of 3-4 days. Austin is a fun town. If you are really into live music stay there. If not stay in San Antonio or New Braunfels. Especially if you have kids or not into that scene. San Antonio offers more touristy things and should have much cheaper lodging. BBQ: Don't be an idiot and stand in line for hours at Franklin BBQ. Drive to Luling, Lockhart, New Braunfels or Driftwood to get awesome BBQ. You'll actually get a table and enjoy it more. A few names to research for BBQ: Salt Lick, Black's, Cooper's, Kruez, City Market, etc...Roadside BBQ at Rudy's is solid. Many spots offer complimentary beans...so find out first. Cabrito at Cooper's is usually really good. Beef is King...pork is hard to find. If you like lean Brisket make sure you request it. Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels is awesome. Best natural water park in America. The Paseo Del Rio (River Walk) is really fun for drinking. Take the barge ride to view the River Walk early in the morning. If you wanna save a few bucks stay 1 or 2 blocks instead of overlooking the river. Fiesta Texas is fun for the kids but pretty much similar to other theme parks. Air Travel: SAT or AUS. Non-stop flights from TPA, PIE, MCO and SFB Weather:. Expect 95-100 degrees. USF section will be on the sunny side. Alamo: Do it only, you need an hour. Literally about 300 feet from the Riverwalk. If you have a day trip planned. Try Fredericksburg, Boerne, Bandera, Wimberley, San Antonio Missions Parking on gameday: I used to find parking south of campus on the north side of downtown. Have not been to a game at UT in 10 years though. If you are in good shape the 3/4 mile walk to the stadium might be the way to go. Finally for you Football fanatics: SMU is at Texas State on the same day. Texas St is about 30 mins south of Austin on I-35 heading south towards San Antonio.
  10. Do they sell beer? Got my tickets. Section 108, Row C We might move around towards midcourt
  11. Thanks for the offer. I'm coming with a buddy. I'm asking him right now about Tix. If he has only one I'll let you know.
  12. Hey guys, I'm heading over for the game tonight. Any advice on parking? Tickets? Best concession? Where is the best place to sit? Do the ushers harass you for improving your seating! I'll be wearing a USF shirt with an Orange Cuse cap. You can't miss me as I'm 6'4" and pretty easy to see in the concourse. Say hello if you see me
  13. It was just 67 up in Syracuse the other day.. Snow is back today. Fly Allegiant (PIE) or Frontier (TPA) nonstop up to Syracuse. I've only used Allegiant and nothing but good experiences. Kinda nice to get into a Jet and be there in 2 hours and 15 mins.
  14. Ha Ha...Dino does a nice take on Brisket. Probably one of the best sandwiches I ever ate is at Dinosaur made with Pulled Pork and Brisket (Pork Sket) along with other things. Primanti Bros in Pitt is really close.
  15. I graduated from Oswego St. I have a camp not too far away on Lake Ontario. Oswego Subs is the best!
  16. For better or worse he is Cuse now. https://www.syracuse.com/orangefootball/2020/01/the-sterlin-gilbert-hire-an-art-briles-protege-with-a-texas-twang-and-a-hell-of-a-brisket.html https://www.syracuse.com/orangefootball/2020/01/syracuse-football-officially-hires-sterlin-gilbert-as-offensive-coordinatorquarterbacks-coach.html
  17. Unfair comment as he had a brand new team filled with FCS level players.
  18. Well it'll be interesting to watch for me as a Cuse fan (BTW, I like the Bulls too as I live in Pinellas County much of the year). All I know is that Dino Babers has been trying to get him on his staff for awhile. Ofcourse any OC looks like a genius with Quinton Flowers.
  19. Didn't you only lose 2 games in 2017? Must of been a damned good HB dive
  20. Babers doesn't believe in playbooks. That is his system. Sterlin is a Babers disciple.
  21. Coming to Cuse apparently as our CO-OC or OC. I know he had great success with Flowers. Cuse has a QB with a great arm but not nearly the escapability of Quinton. What were his good and bad points at USF as OC? Any tendencies or go to plays? Thanks in advance
  22. Congrats guys. Came out of leftfield as Syracuse, Kansas and Vandy were the three finalists. Hope he works out for you.
  23. Replied on another thread. USF needs to look at Kent State HC Sean Lewis. Learned under Dino Babers. Perfect offense scheme for Tampa climate. Great recruiter. Year two at a total rebuild but already showing life. Dropped 60+ against Bowling Green. Hung tough with the big boys on the schedule.
  24. Keep an eye on Sean Lewis at Kent State. Under the Dino Babers coaching tree. Year two at Kent State and they have a shot at a bowl.
