I've completed the USF at UAB DVD.  I’ve put about 14+ hours into creating this.  This is a DVD+R recording, make sure your DVD player is capable, most newer DVD players are and all PC's are (including PS2's).  This DVD includes a menu in which you can select a quarter, or select all, commercial free.  This is one game on ONE disk!  The quality is reduced yet remains good.   The price is $6, a dollar of which will be donated toward the board.  I will ship to your door, or I will bring copies to the game (ECU) if you pre-pay.  Please send payment via Paypal, my account is Zonald@zonald.com.  Or you can check out the link below and pay that way. I just hope the team that played UAB shows up for the rest of the year. I've been working on this dvd for a week now, and I've seen the game about a dozen times. We are capable of doing some nice things.

Are you going to the game this weekend? If you would like to bring me a copy then, that would be great! Wouldn't take me to long to copy the video to my HD. Then I could get them back to you. Editing it is another thing though. I'm having some issues with the compression ratio of the UAB game, but I'm real close. I should have it down by this weekend.

I would be willing to accept video tapes of games people want converted to DVD. It would be nice to start a selection for all. I could do a compilation video at years end, if I had enough video footage that was worthwhile. I'm STILL working on the UAB game. I'm trying to get the best possible quality on one single disk. It's tough, very tough. I've already burnt up my power supply and gone through 7 test copies. But I'm back at it tonight. Hopefully I'll have these ready by mid week. Once I get the inital setting I should be able to get the games converted to disk in a day or two!

Yes, that is right. The L-ville game got messed up somehow, no audio. I'm working on the UAB one now. Should have it available this Monday or sooner. I'll keep everyone updated. It has a menu screen with the fight song playing and you can select each of the quarters or play all, commercial free. I will also create a label for the dvd. I will provide a jewel case for shipping, not a dvd one. It will be shipped to you from Jacksonville. The cost will be $6 payable through PayPal. I will also donate $1 per dvd sold to the board. It would probably be easiest to jump from quarter to quarter (for now). If I got really technical, I could make each quarter it own index, and each possession a different track. So like 4 movies, each quarter, on the same disk, each possession being a track #. That's a bit more involved though, this one I'll just do each quarter being a track. Also I will do a menu with the fight song playing in the back round and shots from each quarter on the menu scene. From that screen you can select which quarter you want to see, or just play all. Just like on a real DVD!

I have a question for all. If I were to take the time and make digital copies of games, edit the commercials out, and burn them to DVD, would anyone be interested in copy? All copyright issues aside, I was thinking about doing this just for kicks starting with the Louisville game. I would need a nominal amount ($5?) for my costs. Let me know if you guys are interested, I think I could get one game on 1 disk if I reduce the quality slightly. I know I could do 1 game on 2 disks. Just a little project I’m entertaining. Let’s not divulge in the copyright law here. I’m not looking for any profits. Just trying to spread some bull fever.

I'll have a lot of students and young alumi tailgating usually in lot 6 or 7 where ever the parking scrubs put us. We usually arrive right at 4pm and are feeling pretty good by 5 or so. There are a LOT of "performers" in this group and I'm sure we would be excited to help you out. I'll PM you with my info if you're interested. Yea, my roommate and I had fun. We went to 5 points and had a blast and made it to the vista. We liked 5 points a little better for the club experience. T-man, thanks for letting us find you for the tail gate. Other than the game, it was a great trip. ;D ;D
