  1. Not trying to be difficult, but let's say your starter is hurt and sidelined temporally due to the injury. Can #3 come in and later go back to #1, once he's taped up or whatever?
  2. It seems like there is some rule in the NFL, that limits "quarterback swapping" during a game. Meaning, if you go to your second-string, your first string has to sit out for so long? Or if you go to your third string, you can't come back to your first? Does anyone know what I'm talking about (because I really don't). It just seems like I heard of some rule like that once, and I really don't know where'd I find that....other than here, of course.
  3. I tried that and the guy who answered the phone seemed to think that would not be possible.
  4. Eric - can I get mine without it being sealed in some plexiglass case?  I would like to frame mine and that case is going to mess me up.  Let me know, thanks.
  5. BullyPulpit.... It's easy for me to "not watch" by not going to the Snoop concert (where they opened the night before), but I was in the stands alone with my 3.5 and 1.5 year old at a college basketball game. "Not watching" was not an option... If you're a parent, you know what's involved in moving two kids down those stands while carrying at least one of them, drinks, diaper bags, jackets that we wore in, hot dogs, etc. You get the picture, there was no escape. It was a bad selection for a show...period.
  6. Oh my.  If this thread is making you uncomfortable, why do you keep coming back?  It's like the Springer show - just change the channel! ÂÂ
  7. ...and thanks for the extended definition. I clearly need a bigger dictionary. I still think the definition and current usage often differ in the English language and I think this is one of those instances.
  8. For clarification, it did not say "he settles at South Florida"...it said "he settles on South Florida". Reads differently to me. Sounds like it's just me though, so I guess I'll just be happy that we're in the paper and they're finally using the proper logo.
  9. Sarasota Herald Tribune headlines, "Manatee tight end Ide settles on South Florida". Settles?  What the hell is that?  I thought maybe I was being overly sensitive, but then I tried the word in other contexts.  It always sounded negative. "I settled for a Miller Lite" (I like Miller Lite). "I settled for Club seats at our bowl game." "My wife settled on me". (yes, probably proper usage there) "Bobby settled for two pieces of pizza" "The seller settled for $250,000" "Marlboro settled for $2MM". No matter how I use it, "settle" implies it's not what was desired, but will do. Is it me?
  10. Might sound like a stretch, but I'm thinking that's the old logo on Coach's shirt. It looks to have a bit of diamond shape to it.
  11. In defense of the 190# comment.... That was out of line, and I apologize. It was just icing on the cake to see all that bouncing around when it should have been covered up. I was in no way suggesting every girl should be super-model-thin....or that not-so-thin girls shouldn't dance. I am saying that all of those girls needed more clothes on. Again, my apologies for the 190# comment....but it was rather unattractive.
  12. What was up with that?? 8 year olds bumpin and grindin in sports bras????  Come on! (I'm not going to mention the 190# older (16) girls with their BELLY buttons pierced )....(oh wait, I just did) I really thought that whole thing was in poor taste.
  13. Were heading up tonight from Sarasota for the game. We're going to eat at the Bull Ring beforehand. Why not??? I can't believe the way we criticize here. Cut the guys some slack. To me it's comparable to when Bealls started carrying Bulls gear. I didn't complain about their very limited selection. Instead, I bought everything they offered. Now they offer more. It's business, and it's pretty simple. If y'all want more Bulls (clothes, food, whatever) you have to support what's already available.
  14. It seems like with every passing (no pun intended) hour there is less of a chance of Rod being relieved of his duties..... Seriously, I'm logging on like every 30 minutes since Jan 1 to see the headline "Rod Smith Fired".
  15. No way fricken way do you kick that field goal!!! I can't believe you would even suggest it! Down 14-0, had to go for the TD, no question about it. I'd rather take the zero and walk out with my dignity!
  16. That ESPN guy must have said "walk-on" no less than 2 dozen times in the first half! He also seems to personally dislike our "walk-on PG". What's up with that?
  17. Sarasota Square has them in stock - go figure. (I'm lovin' it)
