Unique weather for this time of the year in the Northeast. It will be about 77F degree during game time. This might be the year USF wins at Temple

USF will win this game and Jeff Scott will be rewarded with a
GatoradePowerade bath and another year to coach USF's football team. -
What is the story with Jaren Mangham? Can he seek a medical redshirt?

When was the last time USF beat Temple in Philadelphia, PA?
Never. USF is 0-4 against Temple in Philadelphia, PA.
With what reasoning does one believe this USF team can beat Temple in Philly? In the words of Admiral Ackbar, "It's a trap!"

I just listened to the press conference. I think Jeff Scott is frustrated. There is no value in expressing the amount of turnover at USF; 3 presidents, 3 ADs, 4 coaches, numerous coordinators . For the record there are other coaches at USF who have been consistent through 3 presidents and 3 ADs. I believe USF should have more to keep Willie Taggart at USF. Willie did not have the budget to keep defensive coordinators but he figured out a way to win and never focused on what was not there or what happened in the past. I am disappointed in the statements that were made today it did not exemplify the type of leadership that I would expect.

I think the excuse for this game is easy. The team did not have enough time to prepare in the midst of Hurricane Ian. I think he might be able to use that excuse for the game against Cincinnati as well.

No you didn't No one on this forum has.
I said the same thing when UCF got invited to the Big 12 and we got left behind for the second time, yet here I am.
USF shows any life at all at any point this year and you will be here. That doesn't mean you support Jeff Scott, but quitting means you stop caring, and I doubt that you have.
I will never quit on thebullspen.com . I just wont go out of my way to watch a USF football game. It's just too unbearable to watch.

Have a great rest of the season. I am hanging it up on the season.

The biggest thing Jeff Scott needs to do is field a consistently competitive and competent football team. These uncompetitive blow out loses against similarly skilled P5 and G5 teams is unacceptable.

I feel as though we are now the UCONN of the south.
No that is FIU. Pray we don't fall that far.

Kansas is off to a good 4-0 start this year. We can direct our aspirational hopes to one day achieving what this year's Kansas team has done. I think using Clemson as a standard maybe too far fetched. Let's start with baby steps using similar models.

He was a solid DC at USF with equavalent talent. Was hoping USF would have retained him during the transition. Need to bring some life and ingenuity into the defense.
"As defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at USF, Jean-Mary's units were consistently among the nation's best in turnovers created, tackles for loss and pass defense. In his first year, USF was top 25 nationally in six categories, including sacks per game (3.0, 11th) and interceptions (20, second). The Bulls led The American Conference in total defense (359.8) and scoring defense (21.5 points per game), improving from 120th in total defense and 92nd in scoring defense to 37th and 41st, respectively, after Jean-Mary's arrival. Defensive tackle Deadrin Senat was one of five all-conference defenders before being drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
USF forced 69 turnovers across Jean-Mary's three seasons (24, 21, 24) and ranked top 30 in the FBS in that area twice. The Bulls also ranked top five in tackles for loss per game twice (8.4 and 8.3 per game in 2017, '19), while ranking No. 4 in red zone defense in 2019 (67.4 percent)."

The week that conference play starts accomplish?? Seriously, why not wait and see how first couple AAC games go, what do you have to lose or accomplish?
No point in firing Scott this year. He needs another year to figure things out. If he can't make a bowl game by 2023 then I would call the fight. Like a boxing ref, you just have to be sure the boxer is really hampered and not just stunned. So shake the gloves and let's give Jeff Scott a standing 8 count. Ultimately this is his highlight reel USF just paid for it monetarily and emotionally.

USF should bring back Brian Jean Marie. Did way better with equivalent talent.

Cunningham made a lot happen against the defense with his legs. Reminded me of a Flowers. Flowers used to make defenses look very bad.
I am old so.... Pat White, WVU QB, would make all teams look pedestrian until they played USF. It's all about planning, practicing and confidently executing.

Just wanted to chime in here to say the defense is bad. Bob Shoop talks a good one has/had a good brand name but the in game results look the same as last year and the stat look comparable. So if status quo is the goal then mission accomplished else "What are you doing to affect an improvement?".

I thought it might be good to point out we are still 0-0 in AAC conference play. We need five more wins or better or we failed this season. That is all folks…
Humor me. Reasonably and rationally which 5 of USF remaining games will they be competitive enough to win?
Keep in mind this defense is not changing. Every team is going to run the ball against USF. On offense teams will force USF to beat them with the pass. I would venture to say they will take the chance of allowing their DBs to go 1:1 with Weaver and Horn and Ajou.

It looks like it's setting us up for failure every season. We need confidence builders in the beginning of the season, not blowouts.
The schedule planning is fine. USF needs the money to cover for facility upgrades, (e.g., IPF OCS) in hopes to get better talent; player-wise coaching-wise or just wise-wise. Unfortunately this will cost USF record-wise, fan-wise and other-wise.

What's happened to Jennings? The game like most games recently have been unwatchable.

With regards to coordinators, they all look good and do great when they are riddled with talent. When you start hearing coordinators and coaches talking about what they "ain't got" to me that means they "ain't good".
DL is not a new issue for USF been like that for a few years now. Can't really tell if the LBs are good or bad cause they been trying to shed off OL blocking them. Very few NFL LBs can do that. So on defense it's a scheme issue because it been the same issue for a few years and it's a known pain point.

It's amazing how folks are blaming GB when he doesn't play defense. UL scored TDs on the first few drives.
With regards to WRs that is be CJS baliwick. There is no excuse.

Is Weaver THE ONLY Wide receiver for USF? He is good but I am not seeing automatic NFL bound good. Considering USF does not use the TE and rarely throws to the RB. Doubling on Weaver makes complete sense.
I don't get it so I am open for responses.
