I don't know. I feel that going to Memphis from Tulsa is a major step up. Memphis despite a disappointing year is elite and probably the flagship program of the AAC. Tulsa is the exact opposite of that.

Was hoping Tulsa & Temple would of got their acts together. Both those programs have had good hoops history. Seems that they both have been down since joining AAC.

I'm not sure it is an improvement for the Big 10 or SEC, and thus would be hard to get off the ground without their buy in.

Which makes this very interesting seeing that the majority of college football programs don’t reside in the SEC of Big Ten. All the conferences outside of the P2 can figure out a way to make an agreement with the NFL and see if they can get more money than the P2 will if those two conferences decided not to join the NFL’s plans. Would be basically turning the tables on them lol

Assuming the NFL talk is legit, why would any conference entertain expansion now?

Exactly. We will find out in the summer if we see any movement like we have been seeing during the previous summers. I hope whatever happens it is good for college athletics for all if possible. I don’t like hearing the P2 talk as that will only get worse if that does end up happening. No matter what though I am just going to focus on USF and whoever ends up on their schedules. Go Bulls!!

man this ACC would be pretty weak, but at least USF is apart of the idea. It's rare to see USF included in many of these super conference ideas.

Exactly! Not sure I believe we will see any ACC schools shift to the big 12. But I do believe the NFL will eventually help develop a college football super division to basically be a developmental league for the NFL. If and when that happens you really won’t see much difference between all those power conferences in the Super league imo.

why would anyone agree to allow the nfl a seat at the table unless the contributing significant money

    im all for self governing

let the market  determine the future

I do believe they will contribute tons of money. It will basically be a development league for the NFL. So I can see them out spending many to win.  USF will be part of it so we should be celebrating when that happens.

Looks like we will still see this guy next season

Tulsa transfer guard PJ Haggerty, On3’s No. 2 overall transfer portal prospect, is officially off the board and headed to Memphis. He says he chose Penny Hardaway and the Tigers over Texas, Kansas State, and Providence.

Hopefully the AAC gets more respect next season. Should be at least a 3 big league imo

Falls in line with the predictions for FSU/Clemson heading to the SEC. SEC is usually pretty stealth when it comes to realignment as we really didn’t find out Texas & OU were heading to SEC until the summer. It just became reality when the news hit about 3 summers ago.

And to add, both FSU & Clemson would not be going through all this legal trouble without knowing their landing spot. So I would be shocked if they both don’t end up in the SEC soon.

So this what the NIT was/is fighting against ...... this is becoming a joke.

Hate to say it but both college football & hoops have already became a joke regarding the post season. Look at how terrible the selection committee did. No way should Indiana St been left out imo.  Hopefully they win the NIT tonight. No power conference should have more than 6 teams be selected imo. They won’t fix it because they only care about money. So I’m just interested in watching USF play whatever is on the schedule. I suggest more do the same.

With the conference already widening its reach last year to California with the USC and UCLA additions, stretching deep into Florida seems like a no-brainer," Crawford prefaced before saying, "Miami just wants out of the ACC, period, one source said previously. There is a fear, however, among those close to the Miami program, that the Big Ten is only going to seek out FSU and Notre Dame during its next round of expansion, which would leave Miami without its top choice."

One source who should remain nameless….

who cares. for most of our history, USF has been in a better conference. it's been one year, and the system is about to collapse. There is no more P5. There is P2. we're in the same boat now.

    just win games.

Great points. What is funny is that USF is now doing better across the board now which is good. Winning cures all and that is what is happening for USF now imo.
