  1. I would have hired Eustachy here in a second... he'll building something good at USM, although he would have partied better in Tampa.
  2. And this year's Baby Momma Drama Award... drum roll please... Recent Winners include the NY Times
  3. I'm so tired of reading how McGwire was unsing just Andro... that is such BS! He was Mr. Roid himself and look at his injuries that last two years he played... common injuries to chronic steroid users. McGwire will eventually be called out... that andro stuff is such an overplayed coverup.
  4. In my opinion... he will end up at UCF if it becomes between us and them. New coach with a new system. O'Leary will get a transfer better than what they have starting now... he will learn O'Leary's system during the summer and watch the other QB go down in flames during the fall... their current QB really isn't all that IMO. Others might disagree, but after watching the kid, I don't personally think he could lead UCF to sand if we left him in a desert. O'Leary will recruit a good QB that he can redshirt with Rascati at the helm during the 2005 season. Rascati will win the battle at QB during the spring of 2005. He will give us fits when we play them, but we take care of business in the first edition of the "War on I-4".
  5. Job security is a little more important than little known DeAndrew Rubin... coaches aren't normally the one's that make the trade anyways... that is the GM. If this is the NFL... maybe a coach might look out for DRube more... but this is the minor leagues in football speak.
  6. You can talk bad about Seth and get me riled a little... his brother is a good guy also... but if you want to get me fired up... talk bad about AI or talk good about UF and that crapass team they call the Yankees... that'll set me off!
  7. The only thing better would be having AI come to USF and play... he still looks under 21... we could pass him off as a college student!
  8. Come on Smazza... Brad was the GM for Philly and brought Iverson there. His credentials speak for themselves. He will eventually move on to a head coaching gig in college.
  9. VaTech wasn't the lowest seeded team out there. There s a 12, 11, 10, and 9 seed below Tech. It was a great win for their program. Three weeks ago, Tech lost to Rutgers by 30 points... That is coaching when you can get a team confident enough to come back and beat a team that sloshed them earlier.
  10. I know this will get moved to the Big East board, but at least give Seth some credit. He got demolished by Rutgers by 35 two weeks ago; was down by 15 with 9:00 left in the second half to them today, yet, he still managed to salvage a win. It's too late for some of you to appreciate Seth, but he is making some noise at VaTech (hell, they could actually end up at .500 for the season). I've read a million post about what happened with tonight's game against UAB... I listened to it at work on the radio until I was able to catch the final .8 seconds at the Sun Dome. McCullum did today at USF what Seth did at VaTech. In the long run, maybe McCullum will turn out to be a better hirer than Greenberg... but tonight, both coaches showed their resiliency after getting demolished by an opponent earlier in the season. I will have a drink for both my new favorite Coach M, and my former favorite Coach Greeny. I saw my last game at USF as a student, all .8 seconds of it. I will be on my way to Texas Saturday and will not be able to see the Bulls on senior night... I waited in the parking lot after the game... I wanted to congratulate Gerrick Morris on his effort over the last four years that I've watched him. I told him I was leaving for Spring Break and wished him well from me and all the other students that wouldn't be there to see him off. It brought a big smile to his face... Brandon Mosely was with him... he said make sure we come back next year... things will get better. I was getting teary eyed and had to leave. When I drink my beer at the bar tonight, I will drink for our Bulls that continue to fight. The Sheriff
  11. VaTech did beat Providence... did everyone forget that fact? Harvey... we played some weakass teams twice this season also... Houston and ECU among others... don't discount scheduling... we didn't play Louisville or Cinci twice. That is the way the cards fall. I'm just saying Seth is doing a good job at VaTech with the players he has or is left with. McCullum dismantled this year's squad based on his ideals he wants for the future... players leave a team for a reason... and personal differences between the players who left and the coach are reason #1. I spoke to Sam Barber in the gym... and he was adamant about the fact he didn't get kicked off, but left because McCullum and him weren't on the same page. On non-conference wins, I mean... which team is really better? Valpo, UNO, or Wright St... because their records are relatively the same and none will make the tourney without winning their conference. We beat one CUSA team, USM, and they're not even .500 overall. We really don't have any quality wins to be honest. With the exception of beating St. John's in the Big East, every Tech win in the Big East is against an above .500 team. Seth wasn't responsible for their non-conference schedule this season... next year will be different. He didn't stack his schedule with the Morgan State's of the world or the William and Mary's... the previous coach did. Seth was responible for Nebraska, Valpo, Wright St, Michigan St. and so forth. And I would expect that type of scheduling in the future for Seth coached teams. McCullum left Western Michigan with non-conference powers College of Charleston, Detroit and Winthorp. Not much better than what Seth left USF in the scheduling department. College of Charleston is equivalent to Nebraska in my book. What I'm saying is that neither coach has overachieved... although it would be a push to say Seth did more than McCullum. I was expecting at least 10 wins from USF with the talent we had at the beginning of the season. After the departure of half our squad, that was definitely a push. You can't honesty say we achieved anything but maybe we lost players that might be problems or were problems. Our record is padded with wins over FAU and FIU, just like Seth has cheap wins. The only difference is Seth actually beat a very quality team in Providence (how, I still don't know?!), and he upset some conference foes which would be expected during any regular season. And he won the one game I expected them to win... St. John's. I thought initially we would win more CUSA games... but the more I watched us, the more I realized we were really bad with the departure of certain players and key injuries. The USM win was a great win for the players in the program, and at least kept us from going 0-for-CUSA... we did have momentum at that point. The Sheriff
  12. Not all of us feel that way... I hope Seth does a great job at VaTech, but at the same time, I don't want to see us wallow at the bottom of CUSA like we are now. Seth is the right person to get VaTech's program on the right track... maybe he'll get you further than he took us. Our alumnus have a right to be disgruntled... but at the same time they didn't show up to this year's games to support the new coach... so, like most of Tampa, I assume they are bandwagon fans. The people on this message board have lived with this mess we call a season, and that's why they snap at the mention of Greenberg. Hopefully, Coach McCullum will turn around our program... but unless he gets some choir boys in here soon that can play hoops, we'll do even worse next year than we did this season. The Sheriff
  13. You say more with less... Seth didn't leave the cupboard empty when he left. McCullum won one game after his house cleaning of players... you can't attribute that to Greenberg. What you don't realize is Seth is down to seven scholarship players also... and is still winning games down the stretch against decent programs. That is coaching. Seth's team is still horrible at free throws, but hey, so is McCullum's.
  14. Which game Brad... FAU or FIU? I know we beat two storied Florida programs this year... At least we beat one team that has over a .500% winning percentage... VALPO... The Sheriff
  15. Loving Greenberg in Hokie-land! They said if he was there last year they would have made the Big East tourney... way to represent USF Coach! You left here over .500, and you got them almost there already! Coach Greenberg is the man! The Sheriff
  16. Seth has VaTech at 4-3 in February... I always hated how Seth wasn't a February-March coach. If we had three of those four wins, we'd be CUSA tourney bound! Well, we'll see if we can at least get a Big East tourney bid in our first year... who needs CUSA anyways!
  17. Ronnie Banks can throw 70 yards Smazza... at least his frosh year he could. So could backup Mike Usry... It was quite impressive watching them throw it through the uprights from the opposite 40 yard line.
  18. Come on Seth... deliver Tech to the Big East tourney... start the revival there! At least I'll be able to cheer for one team during conference tourney time. The Sheriff
  19. I got tickets for Tuesday if you win tonight! The Sheriff
  20. Caps in seven... any takers? Hockey in Tampa? Hahahaha! The Sheriff
  21. Caps in seven! Looking to get my ticket from a scalper for Tuesday night... anyone have an extra seat or two? The Sheriff
  22. the best team in the World goto a seventh game in Tampa! I love my CAPS and they will prevail! By the way, Lightning fans are bandwagon, evident by the number of them that showed up for Game 1 and harassed my girl and I while my Caps kicked their asses! Where were these same fans during the regular season when I would see my Caps whip up on them? Tampa is bandwagon city! The Sheriff Caps in Seven!
