  1. That P2 expansion should had been done while they still had an automatic CFP spot. Probably to late now.

The current tv contract the P2 has with ace etc is reported to be around 6-8 million. Not much different than what USF gets currently from AAC. The P2 gets 3.6 million per year from CFP, USF and ACC will het 1.8 million. I don’t think the difference  in payouts to CFP access as is currently is enough to get USF to move.

So for the P2 expansion to be successful they must at least get a tv contract in the 10-15 million range. Anything lower than that would mean the league has to get better CFP access or payments.

Yes, that was the B12 commissioner's request. If FSU/Clemson leave, the ACC loses all of it's CFP "credits" I believe.

No they don’t. Those % remain until the three year look in period, so how the ACC does during that tie and any teams they lose or add would determine that. Now of on the next three years those two are still there and gather all the ACC slots, then yes that would hurt.

So it may be good for ACC to come to a deal have them exit, so the ACC slots in those three years are accumulated by those remaining.

I think an agreement on exit fees will eventually come to term for both sides, but not before February 2025 or earlier if ESPN agrees on extending deal. Don’t think there is any settlement until ESPN moves on that.

  3. The fact that we are 25-27 and needing to win a series vs UAB to finish 8th in an 11 team league and qualify for playoffs. It’s just another reminder of how low this program is now.

I love USF and cheer for all sports, but honestly, does it really matter if we win this series? Is time to end this nightmare and close the book. Time for a new start.

Well, last year we didn't beat any team with a winning record, so I think a seven-win season would be an improvement and 8-4 would be pretty dang impressive in CAG's second year.

Would be. But I think our expectations should always be the CFP.

I don't understand why the G5 would want a playoff system. It would only create the perception that they are a AA league.  They are but why would they want to cement that?

Not saying a playoff. I don’t think they should agree to that at all. I’m saying if there was enough money for let’s say the top two G5 champs to play for that CFP spot. Then maybe that would fly. But I don’t see enough money to make that worthwhile.

ND means nothing to the ACC in terms of football and I think that’s all that was being said. The B12 is on a level playing field with the ACC and will not lose any teams to the ACC. The only way the B12 adds USF is IF they get raided OR there is a financial incentive ie new contract wanting the Tampa market (which I doubt). USF needs the ACC to lose FSU/Clemson and someone else otherwise we are where we are.

But ND does want ACC to survive if it wants to stay independent and keep all sports in ACC. It’s no surprise that the ACC added Cal, Stanford and SMU, three schools that ND would be comfortable with. Could ND make a similar deal with Big12? Probably but ND has always wanted to stay on a league with NorthEast presence were a lot of Catholics are in.
I agree that USF to ACC is a no go until FSU exits. And I think is only a matter of time before FSU and Clemson exit the league.

The next and bigger question is can the ACC keep their deal so no one bails to Big12. If they can manage that they will survive and become more of a league with more of an academic style league. Watch Utah, wouldn’t be surprised if the ACC can pull them from Big12 in future.

The Big12 people feel secure that they will be doing the raiding, I’m not so sure of that.

I tuned into the baseball game and we were up. A few minutes later we were down by 3 runs.

Turned it off. Tired of the meltdowns. Reminds me of the Jeff Scott Era. It's not that we are losing. Its that we get waxed by last place teams and make them look like a top ten team.

Don’t worry is a midweek game. Oh sorry is not

Dont worry is only game 1. Oh sorry is not

Dont worry it was vs a good team? No it wasn’t

Dont worry we still have a winning conference record. Oh sorry we dont

Dont worry we are still in top of conference. Oh no we are not

Dont worry we still have a winning record. For how long.

Im so tired of the old tired excuses. He is a nice guy but not the right guy for the job.

Let’s be honest with ourselves, this team is going nowhere. They’ve had a few nice moments, but no consistency. But we’re not alone - Miami is struggling, Florida is struggling. Maybe next season.

Unless changes happens, we will be reciting same line next season.

  9. It will be interesting to see what ends of happening at Colorado. I think with Sanders for most is either they love him and they blame failures on players or they hate him and blame it on him. I think the truth is in between, there were personnel issues but I also think coaching was also an issue. Time will tell. In any case I’m hoping our coaches ca; build any players that choose to come here.
