  1. I would make the change at first only to throw off the D-fense.  Then if not affective on first or second drives.  You let Flowers see some of the Defenses that  Fisher puts out on the field.  You know they are going to change it up a bit because of the score.  You know Jiimbo gave the team a screaming in the locker room.  I mean if I was Jimbo, I would stack the line a little more because their DB's and Safety's are able to run with our WR as they have shown (except for 1 play).  just like our matchups have been pretty well in the secondary as well.

  2. Do you continue to play Flowers for the 2nd half, or do you give it to Bench?  I like what they did last week and think that a change of pace is called for.  Flowers has still been floating his throws, and I think Bench, although less mobile, can still hand off well if needed or at least throw ropes.

Now if Bench gets hit behind the line too much you either roll him out or you go back to Flowers, but I would start Bench for the 2nd half.

  3. USF women's basketball has 1 more home game this year--->  UCONN Monday March 2 at 7pm.  The last time we played them at home (Last year) we had 8000+ in attendance and I'm pretty sure many of them were UCONN fans.  I wonder if the Student Govt. or at least the Athletic Department will promote this game so that we can pack the dome, considering that we may be in the Top 25, and playing the #1 ranked UCONN team.  It looks like this team has had a few games playing in front of 5000+ screaming and cheering fans, however at home, I think the largest crowd they have played in front of was the ECU game with 3500 in Attendance.

I know the crowd will be fairly large, but I hope they will mostly be cheering on the Lady Bulls, and not the Lady Huskies.

  4. 4 of those 6 loses came from playing Uconn x2, US (we beat them first time around), Tulane (#3 in our conference), and Tulsa (#4 in our conference).  It was a hard fought game, and they totally out hustled us in the first half.  ECU also came in to the game 7-2 in their last 9 games beating Tulane (see above).  So ECU was never going to be a cake walk.  How is that for interesting!

  5. Anyone feel like starting a thread to show that USF has many sports programs that are successful recently, and that some of our fickle fans are full of Dark Side POOP when they complain about the state if USF Sports?  The ones off the top of my head that are annually mostly successful: Women's BB, Women's Soccer, Women's Softball, Men's Golf, Men's Tennis, Men's Trank & Field.  Our Football program will catch up soon, and our BB team was just in the NCAA Tournament a few years ago and will return there soon as well.  Gotta give it time!!!

  6. Welcome to the age of the Internet, where nothing ever dies.  People deserve second chances and The internet makes it hard to get a fair shot at a second chance.  That's why IMO you make your own destiny, luck and future!  Leavitt made his, and Miller should concentrate not on the bad surrounding him, but the potential for good and success he had if he really applied himself full force and not half a$$ed blaming everyone else for his problems.

  7. Awesome win!  Best Defensive game of the season so far.  I think we beat ECU despite what Mama Bull said our RPI indicates (that we lose to ECU).  We have 2 Dominant players (Williams & Jenkins) who will always get their stats each game, and 2 great contributors (Taylor & Ferreira).  I would say we have a team that has just about every player needed to make a great team:

    Rebounders - Jenkins & Williams

    Assists - Stringfield & Williams

    Points - Jenkins & Williams

    Blocks - Jenkins

FT% shooters happen to be our best shooters Jenkins & Williams

Steals - again happen to be our most active and best shooters Jenkins & Williams.

This team could have a breakout game and beat just about anyone they face, in or out of Conference.

  8. Incidentally, Bracketology has us improving to a #7 Seed playing Pittsburgh in MD

    http://espn.go.com/ncw/bracketology

Looks like that's exactly where we are ranked in the AP poll (#28).

Win all our games and the conference championship & we probably go in as a #4 or #5 seed.  Win our last remaining regular season games but lose to UCONN in conference tourney, we probably advance to a #5 or #6 seed (having beaten UCONN once).  Lose only to UCONN in last game of the regular season and also in the conf tourney, we might advance to #6 seed.  Lose any more games, and we might just lose seeding in Bracketology as we already do not garner much respect from the pollsters.

I can't see us being beaten by anyone else in our conference the way we are playing, so looks like we may have a range of #5 - #8 seed depending on how the rest of the season and conference tournament goes.
