  1. I HOPE....

    *  Everyone realizes that we were playing on only 3 days practice out of the last 7 days at least (because of time off for Hurricane Irma).

    *  Everyone realizes that were were playing many of our 2nd and 3rd string players by the 3rd quarter.

    *  Everyone gives the players some slack because many of their families and friends probably still didn't have power or water, and that definitely weighs on a Young Adult's mind let alone a grown man.

    *  The Bulls can dominate every team we play on Defense.  I am a bulliever that DEFENSE wins championships.  With a great Defense, it lets the offense relax, settle down, and play their game.  When you have talent at the key positions on Offense, you will make more plays when you are relaxed and playing your game then when you are rushed, nervous, trying to force things, and make poor decisions.

Those are my "I HOPE" wishes.

  2. Thank goodness my family and I made it through with only inconveniences.

We lost power, and I lost a 80+ year old pine tree that fell away from the house onto the powerlines.  Our whole community lost power, water, and Internet (not due to my pine).  Tuesday night they restored water, and today about 3 hours ago, they restored power and internet.  Now I am cranking my A/C to 62 degrees.  If anyone on the boards in Northern Lake County near The Villages needs a place to stay with Power, please feel free to reach out.

    Thanks,

  3. I am about 2 hours north east of Tampa, and moved up here only 9 years ago.  Since I moved up here and at first working 3 consecutive jobs for other employers, I started several businesses, which have me working 7 days a week.  I usually have to really work at finding time to take off from running those businesses.  Now I am finding ways to take a day off here and there, and shift some responsibilities temporarily to some of my employees.  Sometimes when you have a goal, you work so hard to achieve it, you find that you miss out on some things.  I have now vowed to go to at least one, and maybe 2 games a year starting this year.

  4. Thanks for all the advice from Trip, 79 Bull, and flsportsfan.  I bought the Section 211 tickets.  We should have a pretty nice view of all the action from there.  Now I am looking for a decent Tailgate to join or a few to visit.  We are willing to bring beer, Homemade BBQ Wings (no BBQ sauce as it will be my famous marinade and doesn't need BBQ or other sauces), Burgers, and other goodies.  So if there are any takers, board members, or just friendly folks who want to take me up on this offer....

    Thanks again!!!

  5. Sometimes teams just play up or down to the level of competition, and then the better talent finally shines through.  I am hoping that this was the case the past 2 weeks.  We have a TON of talent, and even poor coaching and nervous jitters can't keep that suppressed the entire time.

With this line of thinking and a little bit of hope, I am fairly sure we will win out the season.

  6. I am going to the Houston game and am bringing 3 to 4 people with me.  We are going to probably arrive at the stadium for Tailgating (Bringing the Grill, Wings to BBQ, Beer, & other assorted foods) around 10am about 2 hours before kickoff or earlier.  Would love to join another tailgate from this board if anyone would like to have us.  If you are inviting us to join, what lots are the best to park in?

Also was wondering how to purchase club seats for the game.  I think I have tried to click on the tickets link that takes me to ticket master website but those tickets all seem to be general admission.  I mean some are good seats, and I am leaning towards section 109 or 110 if I can't get club tickets for this game.

Can anyone give me the fan's perspective from club seats -vs- Section 109 or 110 (30/40/50 yard line) around rows 2 - 5?

I like to get plans solidified way before the game, so this is me preparing to buy ASAP.

Thanks for any help/advice posted here.

  7. USF BULLS UNLIMITED

    http://gousfbulls.com/news/2017/8/23/football-athletics-to-launch-usf-bulls-unlimited-a-24-7-digital-station-on-iheartradio.aspx

USF will now offer free access to Live events on iHeart Radio.  This is HUGE news as now we don't have to subscribe to BullsCast to be able to get stop and go/buffering webcasts of some live events.

Looks like this is one of the perks to partnering with TBEP.

We are moving into the 21st Century!!!!

  8. Fontana Hall moved in Fall '89.

All we had was Basketball and was fun as hell.  Would have loved football those days and would have gone to every game possible.  I keep telling everyone at my Gym who is going to USF as a Freshman (One is a walk on, on the women's golf team) to GET INVOLVED and go to every event possible as long as the grades don't suffer.

Ahh to be a Freshman with today's circumstances.

  9. In her first game playing in the WNBA for the Pheonix Mercury, our very own Courtney Williams started the game, scored a team high 15 points, and played a team high 26 min and was instrumental in their first win of the preseason (so far they've played only 1 preseason game).  She' played against Guess Who?!?!?!?! That's right..... Breanna Stewart's Seattle Storm.  She's a beast on the court!

  10. So, for those who don't know, Courtney Williams was picked 8th by the Phoenix Mercury.  Here is the War Room video and a few comments on their intentions with Willams:  http://mercury.wnba.com/video/2016-wnba-draft-inside-war-room/

She has the dubious distinction of being the backup to the best player in the WNBA Diana Taurasi for the past 10+ years.  She's also a former UCONN player and Olympian.  Hopefully Williams will be the one taking over the reigns when Taurasi's contract is up in 2 years and heads back to Russia to finish out her Basketball career.
