  1. How many did you count? Two? Maybe three? Good grief. Ignorant perhaps, but surely not "so many".
  2. Heaven, for Terry, involves a "Get Out of Jail Free" card... ÂÂ
  3. So this whole 2000th member thing had me thinking about an interview I had way back when about SouthFloridaBulls.com and the effort to build a Bulls presence on the net.  TheBullsPen.com started as a message board on SouthFloridaBulls.com and did not become an entity unto itself until sometime around the middle to fall of 2000, if memory serves me well.  The board at SouthFloridaBulls.com had quite a few hundred members before TheBullsPen.com was born, but TheBullsPen.com did not really take notice until some time after the interview... I could not remember which paper it was so today I searched the Trib and Times...turns out the Trib's archive is a pay per view deal anyway, but the story turned out to be on the Times (which features an archive back to '87 I think).  The writer was none other than Greg Auman.  In the interview I marvelled at UK's 1000 or so members as a goal for SouthFloridaBulls.com... Here it is for your reading pleasure: Funny thing was I had talked to J. Gerdes about running the official site...I was to provide a quote for consideration.  I did not, knowing that with my full time job, I could not do the job that the USF official site would deserve. A little history for TheBullsPen.com courtesy of the St. Petersburg Times.
  4. jg, you're new...you must know that lob99 is our resident humorous, sarcastic contrarian...he means nothing that he says...
  5. Welcome to TheBullsPen.com We reach another milestone...thanks to all for being a part of the largest and oldest online Bulls community!
  6. Kudos to you for going and supporting the Bulls. Something has got to change...but as fans we stilll need to be there and support our student athletes.
  7. I've got some taken with a camera that I scanned...I'll have to see if I can find those. I've got some of the players running out of the corner and some of the first snaps (I think). Some good shots of the stands too. CB, if you have the full size of the one above, please email to me and I'll put it on thebullspen.com server.
  8. Very untrue. Most coaches know that South Florida could be a great baseball school and facilities IS NOT what it is all about. It is about winning. South Florida could be great.
  9. black america hates "farve".
  10. Courtesy USF SID Office Seven-Run Fifth Inning Leads To 10-4 Loss For USF To Notre Dame TAMPA, Fla. (April 8, 2006) – A seven-run fifth inning by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (21-8, 7-1 BIG EAST) led to a 10-4 loss for the University of South Florida baseball team (14-18, 5-6 BIG EAST) on Saturday, April 8 at Red McEwen Field.  USF registered 10 hits on the afternoon. Sophomores Brad Karns and Josh LeRoy led the way offensively for the Bulls. Karns 2-for-3 with a run scored while LeRoy improved his season batting average to .324 with a 2-for-3 performance versus the Irish. Dexter Butler drove in a run as well as scoring one, going 1-for-3 on the afternoon.  Pinch hitter Mike Consolmagno drove in two runs with a 1-for-2 outing on Saturday.  Sophomore Daniel Thomas made his ninth start of the season, allowing nine runs on 12 hits to suffer his fourth loss of the season. Thomas pitched four and two-thirds innings of action, striking out two Notre Dame batters. Yuri Higgins, James Rowe and Matt Ingram combined for three and one-third inning of relief, allowing one run on five hits while registering three strikeouts. Notre Dame jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. However, the Bulls cut the deficit to one run in the bottom of the third. Karns scored on a ground out by Kris Howell to put USF on the board.  The game remained tight until the top of the fifth when the Irish scored seven runs on eight hits to extend their lead to 9-1.  USF rallied to score three runs in the bottom of the eight, including a two-RBI single by Consolmagno. But, Notre Dame’s lead was too great for USF to overcome, resulting in the Bulls seventh-straight defeat. USF will close out its three-game set with the Fighting Irish on Sunday, April 9. On the mound for USF will be sophomore Davis Bilardello. Getting the start for Notre Dame will be Jeff Manship. 11. Cripes... ND breaks out for 7 runs in the 5th and still batting, up 9-1. Stop the bleeding.
  12. I'll give you a call later...in the middle of some other things right now..thanks.
  13. You guys are disgusting. How could you sand that down? You have enough money to keep it as is... I would practice on it everyday. If I were Donovan, I'd put it in my den. you'd never get the stink out of it, but it would look good...
  14. I hope Greenie does well...nothing wrong with that...it's his sycophantic followers that are annoying..
  15. http://www.gousfbulls.com/liveStats/liveStats.dbml?KEY=KMMTQVHSPJCUHCU.20060408164956&DB_OEM_ID=7700# That might open the GameWatcher... If not go to GoUSFBulls.com and click on Live Stats you'll see it offered there too. Football scrimmage starts in about 10 minutes too, but it is closed and no Live Stats  ;D...
  16. Do you still have that picture of #1 Sheriff, or do I need to try and find it? And to think I have a Cory Porter jersey...
  17. Let's see, I will probably leave something out here...but what I remember is this: 1)  the announcement that football was approved in 1995 2)  the first game ever in Tampa Stadium....I still feel the chills run down my arms thinking about standing there that day...emotions sweeping through my mind as I am watching USF football being born. 3) Game 2 at the Citadel - drove up for the first Bulls road game ever (went to all road games that year).  Just absolutely thrilled that it was real and being a fan was probably never better.  An actual road trip and it wasn't to the 7-11 for beer. 4)  The Southern Miss win.  Yep, E.T. and I almost took the field but instead decided to pull players into the stands.  Gene would have been proud of us.  We grabbed one guy, can't remember who, but he must have been a lineman, we almost went over the wall trying to pull him up.  I was on the field much of that game taking pictures...what a game. 5)  Beating Pitt/Watching the Pitt win on tape again and again.  Still chills watching us hit on all cylinders and watching those Pitt fans in virtual comas. 6) Beating my Kentucky brothers at WKU in 99 after having lost twice to those drunks.  Nearly had to fight three drunk rednecks at Western Kentucky in 1997.  Beating them and doing away with that matchup (2000) was overdue.  This goes into the "flip" category... 7) going to the Bowl Game in Charlotte was awesome.  Another moment to remember forever - a first - even if the outcome was not favorable. 8)  Watching Bill Gramatica nail that 63 yard FG against AP. 9) Three Bulls being drafted by the NFL back to back to back. 10) The O.G.s and everything they have meant to this program.  Met several of them.  Hats off to our first Bulls..always a group, if not a moment, to be remembered.
  18. Don't know, but whatever happened it knocked their website offline and now if you go to GramaticaBrothers.com you get sent to eBay.
  19. I don't think so..looking at the PIT site, it states you can watch them on the net, but following that link took me to a site that has video online, but no PIT game.. http://www.portsmouthinvitational.com/
  20. While I realize my commenting on this topic will likely induce one of our knucklehead gang to register a false name (as has happened frequently since the Huggins rumors), but I also hope Mr. or Mrs. or Miss 2000 is a well rounded, productive and positive contributor to the message board community. TheBullsPen.com has had targeted ad placement around the WWW since Day One of Spring to drive up membership. It will be nice to see us close Spring with 2000 members and maintain some productive discusssion building towards fall practice.
  21.
