Conferences want schools who will make them the most money. They don't care who earns it by winning. (ex Boise)
Winning doesn't matter (ex Rutgers) ....... but - schools that win, often are the ones who can make conferences the most money as they draw the most tv viewers.
Yes we want to win, always, but a narrative "we haven't earned it" is not a factor. With many schools just being in the right place at the right time is what matters.
Did DePaul earn their way into the Big East? Did Maryland and Rutgers in the Big 10? Does Vandy belong in the SEC? Wake in the ACC?
Yes win, I love winning, but we don't need to wait until we won "enough".
Vandy has been in the sec forever. I fact the Vanderbilt are some of the wealthiest and most influential families in American history. The university is one of the most influential research universities and gives the SEC the Nashville market keeping it from anyone else. They are very dominant at other sec sports such as baseball. Almost the whole state of Tennessee roots for the vols unless you have a direct tie to Vandy. The sec has most of the oldest and most powerful universities and they are by far the best conference for all sports overall. Being in the sec is the goal for any college athletic program, but I don't think we will ever get there. The sec unlike the B1g is a regional conference. All of their programs are not far from their east and west division opponents. They were smart to add Mizzou, tamu,Ok, and Texas.

Not sure it sells out. Last time they came to usf it wasn't a sellout and we were a better program. Miami fans only show up in numbers when they are good. If they were undefeated or think it is a big game more U fans will show up.

The rat pack ran vasi in game w and goal was allowed. A lot more contavt was made on that goal than either of the goals taken away tonight. Coop said it best after the game.
Bolts coach Jon Cooper went on a near 4-minute rant in today's postgame about goalie interference and his team's two disallowed goals tonight vs Florida:
"This is clearly a turning point in the game... to pull a goal off the board it has to be unbelievably egregious. I couldn't find anything remotely egregious on the first one."
"The next one... I will give [Bobrovsky] credit. He completely quit on the play, then flailed ... he duped them and so be it."
"Is it net-front battles aren't allowed anymore? The boxing out is like prison rules in the playoffs but it's not prison rules for the goalie? We might as well put skirts on them then, if that's how it's gonna be. They have to battle through stuff too ... I think we're letting the goalies off the hook."It was a great run for the lightning. Jbb officially closed the cup window for the bolts for a king's ransom for jeannot and his offseason raise he didn't earn or live up to. We should have traded for a top 4 instead of Jeannot.

Low risk and high reward kind of move. Bringing in a big local body that can possibly be coached up while building back our local recruiting pipelines. WE had several offensive linemen transfer out freshmen Perez and the Vandy transfer.

The list up above was a pic so thanks for linking it. Not sure why it didn't pop up when I Googled his name/247, usually works. Guess I'll need to to go to each site now.
I had to do some digging to find it. I think it has to be with he isn't a rated recruit.

But BullsMatrix told us we are getting in the ACC any day now. I think he has as much real insider information as Swaim and CW Lambert. Do we trust the OK State , WVU, or USF hype man?

Thanks. That last one looks like it's from a recruiting site so I guess my Google skills let me down .....
Last one was from 24/7 I linked it .

Don’t remember the exact lineup. But, I don’t think he had a true 1, 2, or 3 prior to the season.
He had names and OR between names.

Hopefully they’re all rowing in the same direction.
Good one. Do you remember lsat years depth chart?
RB Wright or Joiner or Dukes
I think it had alot to do with Golesh trying to hide the depth chart a little or figure out what he had over the first few games until he found his guys.

Where did you find one?
Click his twitter and scroll down. Not bashing him . I trust Golesh he coached a team that one won fbs game in the previous three seasons up into 6 fbs wins, 4 conference wins, and a bowl win. You don't need a team or 4 and 5 star recruits to win in the AAC. You need guys that will outwork the other team and lay it all on the field every play every game. I think he maybe a PWO ready to put in the work.

Fans can't as a group make good decisions in the best interest of the program. But I hear ya.
However, a large part of the attraction was USF avoiding the tinmen for so long.
We didn't want to be them and that's exactly what happened.
Sadly Judy and her cronies didn't think losing to them was a bad thing and neglected athletics while the knights invested im athletics and priotized winning. We got AAU status and they got a power conference. Thanks Judy. I hate to say it but I would rather be in a power athletic conference playing better teams than being an AAU university. My boss didn't give me a raise nor does he care. I have not had one person say man you went to an AAU university .

We had a guy that was 1000% committed change his mind. So... the % doesn't mean much until they sign.
-
Big body. His offer list isn't good so they found a diamond in the rough or think he can be coached up! You can never have enough big bodies in the trenches.

It makes no sense that a major university in the south can’t find talent to field a better than a 500 baseball team. That is 100% recruiting which is 100% the coaching staff.

Looking at roster, my thoughts on depth.
QB
We have no doubt about our starter and seems we have depth. Hope we get big leads that allow us to have a better idea of QB2.
RB
We have a proven starter and backup. Feel good about RB3 and then inexperience ...
TE
We have two upper classmen, but expect a battle. Hope we can use this position more.
WR
We have 3 proven guys and hope some newcomer add value. Have about 3 I hope can step up!
OL
Have some guys returning with starting and game experience, Feel good.
DE
Kinda covered this with Logan departure. Feel good.
DT
No proven depth.
LB
Feel better than last year and feel we have better depth.
CB/Nickel
Need Lee and Ward to step up. Feel as good as last year, hopefully we are much better.
Safety
Feel fine.
I think the dbs will be improved this year. Ward and Stokes should take a step forward. Jmu,sc, and Tennessee transfer should add depth and skill to the backfield. The recruits from last year should step up Lee and Byrard. The recruits from this year should compete for 2 deep and 3rd man on the depth chart. If we can improve our passing defense and passing attack pressures and sacks , the defense will take a big leap.

Never seen a team give up the go-ahead run on a ground out to second with the guy scoring from... second. Let's just hope we can get competitive in the conference tournament. The rest of the season is a pretty strong schedule.
We sure find new ways to lose.

I thought one of the Exume brothers was gonna originally br tried on the OL,
I heard that but he was better at DE in hs. Makes sense if he is switching though if our dl is loaded with talent this year.

Exume, Jenkins & Singleton?( still with us?)
And we have Pettus to go along with expected better CB play
I think Levi Smieley and the other bulls brother Exume are also DL players.

From 12 years ago…. I guess it really is “just a matter of time”. Amazing how slow that crap moves
At this rate, we maybe in the AAC in over a decade from now, college sports may have collapased completely as we know it, or we may earn our way back to a power conference. I only want to see option three.

With spring football practice over, JeyQuan Smith returned to the track and ran a 10.52 in the 100m dash.
He's a WR with our FB team. Looks like he was injured but is back in action. Only 5'10" but fast like that is welcome.
Seems like a candidate to be our next Horn on the football field. Kid has jets for legs and got solid offers coming out of high school. Great work.

Seriously, you don’t need to make the case anymore that a coaching change is needed. The team’s performance is taking care of that. I’m not sure much more needs to be said. We play out the string this season and find new leadership.
We should have already had a new coach is the major issue. Mohl did not earn the right to be the coach for a seventh season after two terrible seasons in a row, but yet he is still here. Well he was allowed to come back for a seventh season and the team is still losing more games than it wins in confernece play. The losing has gone on for too long under him . AD MK should fire him today and try to salvage the season.
Anyone hear about any stadium updates today?

Does it include water fountain layouts ? John, I know we have a brewmaster degree now. Usf should have a usf brewery outside and inside the stadium selling beer made by USF brew mastery program. If not.maybe tap a keg for quality control and tasting purposes at the official usf tailgates.
