I'll miss seeing one of our leading tacklers

Right. People are quick to call him bad without realizing hes #1 on our team in tackles and always seems to get a few turnovers. Hes by no means, good, but at least we know his name. Who's even playing on the Dline this year? I cant ever see when they are on their backs...

FPI gives USF a 39.3% chance of losing out and finishing the season 1-9. If that happens, the Bulls will go at least 677 days between wins against an FBS opponent.

Odds of winning remaining games FPI:

    • Tulsa (10.5%)
    • at Memphis (8.0%)
    • at Houston (8.8%)
    • Navy (45.2%)
    • UCF (4.6%)

We are well on our way to being UConn. This is ugly.

Not sure I am buying that. This team would lose to 1/3 of the programs on the FCS level. I found this to be interesting:

What should have been the redshirt seniors this year, which was Taggart's last class? Only 3 of those 16 guys are still on the roster (RG Michael Wiggs, WR Devontres Dukes and CB Mike Hampton). Charlie Strong's first class in 2017 (seniors or redshirt juniors)? Only 11 of those guys are on the roster (WR Bryce Miller, RG Jean Marcellus, S Nick Roberts (who walked off the field last night in the middle of the game and I suspect is either in the doghouse or about to be kicked off the team), LG Demetris Harris, S Bentlee Sanders, WR Randall St. Felix, DE Darrien Grant, S Mekhi LaPointe, NT Kevin Kegler, LB Andrew Mims and NT Kelvin Pinkney). 14 guys out of what should have been two classes worth of the team leaders, recruited off of consecutive 10+ win teams. It's just pathetic how much Taggart had checked out that last year, and how little Strong did with recruiting.

It is pretty dishonest to point at Taggart and say wow he didnt recruit well at the end because none of those players are leaders now. Development is a huge part of being a coach, and CCS didnt develop one player.

5500 dead is a "little damage"? Its not hard to understand your cherry picked dates.

Was just saying they are a bad example and currently, it looks like they are reconsidering their initial plan bc it isnt working.

Again, that is less than America per person without shutting down...

if you believe the stories that he was let go on trumped up charges because the athletic department thought he had plateaued and wanted more out of the program, that says they thought it was indeed important.

I more saw it as they would rather save face than have to answer difficult questions about the coach. It was a low effort, non-thought out move in my opinion.

Yup, it's pretty obvious they are completely wrong.

91st in population - 12th in Covid deaths and by far the worst of the Nordic countries. Weird lol.

Yes they were more immediately hit with little damage now, while other countries are going to drag this out for years...

Why is that hard to understand?

Disagree, we were under .500 in hoops last year, I would simply say that we are a preeminent commuter University located in the center of urban blight with a passing interest in Athletics.

Fair. The athletic department here showed its hand the day it fired Leavitt that athletics is not important, and continues annually to support that claim further.

At least basketball is competitive. Gregory has made this team at least respectable with hope, which is more than football can say for the last decade without QF

The people who are complaining about wearing masks don’t know anyone who has been personally affected by the virus. Those of us who do realize how truly asinine their arguments are. There is NO political aspect to this discussion. It’s a simple public health issue, but you’re too selfish to recognize it.

I know you won't give a straight yes or no answer, but if it was proven to reduce the amount of cases, would you support a complete house lockdown for 3 months where NOBODY is allowed to leave their house?

And for the record, my job has me go to plenty of people's houses daily and I wear a mask in their homes no questions asked, so get off your moral high ground. You're not better than anybody for having a political stance, which this is 100% political. If you're debating allowed behavior for people it is political. I wouldn't expect a grandstander to know that.

....But that was the extent of the measures, with officials saying they would trust in the good sense of Swedes to keep their distance and wash their hands.

Mr. Flahault lauded Sweden’s government for that part of its approach. “The Swedes went into self-lockdown,” he said. “They trusted in their people to self-apply social distancing measures without punishing them.”

Too many Americans are self centered and selfish, coupled with a leadership that has refused to this day to take this thing seriously, that way was never going to work here.

I dont know if you knew this, but people are more likely to agree and work with you when you dont force your ways onto them.

Sweden's unique approach to the pandemic has drawn interest from...

Sweden is not a good example.

I'm glad you found a bias news article. I found charts. Their economy is also doing much better because they never shut down.

Doesnt it look like they got over it? Meanwhile, the USA will drag this thing out for years...

I understand. This is also my point, yes, there is evidence that having ANY face covering keeps people from touching their face, nose and mouth and potentially transmitting the virus to hard surfaces where it can be picked up by others.  Remember this is NOT only airborne but can be picked up from a surface so a fitted N-95 while likely better isnt the only way to mitigate it.  Researchers were initially adhering to 'only a fitted, N-95 works' and were eventually surprised to discover that any face covering mitigates transmission, admittedly, more than others. MASKS WORK and in ways we don't even fully understand.

Can we now please move on to more depressing topics than death and covid, you know, the state of USF football?

I've seen plenty to indicate that people touch their face more when you have mask mandates.

Sweeden didnt close anything or have a mask mandate, and have a much lower infection rate and less people dead from it on a per population basis.

I'm sure you'll be like "oh Sweeden is less populated" well Stockholm is more densely populated and more total population then the Tampa Bay area.

There are also examples in America that didnt shut down, and it seems to have no correlation to infection rates unless you watch CNN and they nit pick data for you.

This is what happens when you belong to a society. Society has rules and it's rare when everyone agrees with all the rules. You want to "live and let live", find an island where you, and anyone else wanting to live like that, can flourish ...

What?? The entire constitution was filled with rights that were centered around "live and let live" so I don't think I have to go anywhere. I also don't wear a mask anywhere I go, and there is nothing you can do to stop me. Everybody seems to be letting me live just fine. You find an island you turd.

I completely agree with that statement ........ but somehow I think we both interpret it differently. :shade:

I'm sure you feel better knowing armed guards are forcing people to wear masks even when they dont want to. Just understand that's why people think of Democrats as communist, because you generally believe you have the right to force your will on others in so many different ways. "Live and let live" was never a thing for you was it?

.... and if you  didn't like the rules, which were hammered home in emails leading up to the game and signs everywhere inside and outside of RayJay, and weren't going to follow them, you should 100% have stayed home ...... which I have no problem with someone going that route. I think the rules are a bit of an overkill but also don't think it's that tough to deal with for 3 or so hours.

This part was obvious. I hate the rules and I found something better to do. I'm just getting pretty sick of people crying about masks when you can just stay home

I like the fact the RJS staff are trying to enforce the rules that are intended to keep everyone there safe, and everyone those people come in contact with after they leave.

    Unenforced rules erodes credibility.

If you were actually worried about the virus, you should 100% stay home
