I’m bored so I’m going to play devil’s advocate and piss of some CCS haters. It sometimes baffles me and makes me question the reason behind the hate for Taggart and CCS. So I decided to compare CSH, Taggart, and Strong. I’m leaving Levitt out of this convo. I get it, CCS fizzled out towards the end, but the hate this man gets is nonsense. Taggart's 2016 class was hot trash so he wasn't given a big cupboard of players and had to rebuild. In the end, he only has one season out of 3 with a losing record. When we start winning games this year and next year, just remember we will be doing it with a majority of players that came from CCS regime.

CCS/Taggart - Both have at least (2) seasons that ended with winning records and (1) season with at l0 wins

CSH - Has only one season with a winning record.

CWT and CCS have given us our 2 BEST seasons in the AAC.

What kind of record do you think Strong has if he's coaching USF this year? It's hard to say because the transfers are likely somewhat different, but I cant imagine an improvement over 4 wins. I dont see any future NFL players here outside of KJ who he didnt recruit or develop. Nobody, I mean NOBODY improved under Strong, while more than half the team regressed. Lastly, what coach gets less than 10 wins with that 2017 QF lead team??

If you can favorably answer any of these questions, I'll reconsider my opinion of CCS. Imo hes a steaming pile of garbage for a coach.

What I said is the aac is a distant 6th ... it is and I explained why ... I also said I'm not overly impressed with computer rankings ... I mean one said that ucf was the national champ a couple of years ago .... :roflmao:

I wouldn't even care to question your statements if you said the ACC was better, but to say the AAC is a distant 6th is objectively false, shown by statistics.

The beauty of computer RPI is it doesn't care about bias. It only cares about on-field results.

I'll review:  Syracuse is 3-2 against aac opponents since leaving the Big East for the ACC .... they also knocked off Clemson one year (side note) .... they also pretty much suck (not just my words) .....

I'm not overly impressed with computer rankings which are skewed by our "top" teams getting to run rough shod over the rest of the crappy aac.  I'll stand by my statement that if you take our top team each season and stick them in any P5 conference they are at least a 2-3 loss team ... stick in a top P5 conference and they are generally going to battle to mediocrity.   The week to week grind of those conference schedules are going to wear on our teams most seasons.

    aac < any P5 conference

You have claimed that the AAC is OBVIOUSLY way worse than P5 conferences for 7 pages, then when RPI shows otherwise, you resort to "I dont believe computer rankings".

It has the SEC and Big 10 #1 and 2 which I'm sure we can all agree with. It has the rest of the G4 where youd expect. It definitely means something. I don't buy Syracuse having over 3 wins in the AAC

You can stand for whatever you like, but the worst team in the ACC (Cuse) is 3-2 against the aac since they left for the "Club".  As Ric Flair would say, "you ain't got to like, but you better learn to live with it" because the aac is a distant 6th in conference rankings ...... more importantly to the original conversation it is far behind the old Big East

I dont know what rankings you're looking at, but computer polls from 2018 and 2019 disagree with you. also, most of those 3-2 Syracuse wins over the AAC were vs UConn, who's no longer here.

I hope to see more screen passes late in games. Assuming Ford is still around, and I have my doubts, he could be key here. I do want to see if McCloud made a step up...this is where no spring camp really hurts us.

I want to see McCloud improve also, but as a fan, I'm extremely worried if hes starting week 1. Do you think CJS splits QB work for the first few weeks?

  6. It's hard to rank positions because there are so many unknowns. The most solid position should be RB with 3 capable RBs.

TE should be another good group again.

Oline and WR are shakey, but St Felix is awesome. He had a disappointing year last year, but who didnt? He has the talent to be all conference. Maybe Horne returns to form.

QB is a prayer and not getting much practice with the team together is going to give CJS a tough time evaluating 3 guys. I suspect the QB competition will carry over into midseason at least

Me neither. I long for the days when I can get a nice whiff of a Pall Mall or a good ol' Lucky Strike while I'm trying to enjoy a nice dinner out  I don't have a problem with it because I have to respect that other person's freedom and their right to blow their smoke wherever they want to out in public.

I also think that it's ridiculous that there are laws concerning sanitation and food handling at restaurants. Let the cooks be free my dudes!

Before the no smoking indoor law, there were plenty of restaurants that didnt allow smoking. I prefer no smoking in my restaurant too. Business will cater to that.

All these anti-mask freedom fighters need to join with me and  start going into stores and restaurants barefoot, shirtless, and smoking a cigarette. If you don't like our disgusting feet and cigarette smoke getting in your lungs, stay home! You know the risk when you go out in public. We're free to do whatever we want and we don't give a crap whether it impacts someone else. Hell, if I want to shoot my gun in public places, that's your problem  stay out of the way of my bullets or stay home! Freedom! Murica! #1....Wooooooo.

I've never had a problem with someone smoking a cigarette barefoot before. You seem very tolerant

I guess I’m guilty of never putting that much thought into it. I go to the Publix near my house in Seminole Heights and there’s a cashier I see pretty frequently who’s got to be 70+. It never occurred to me to tell him to stay home because of my freedom.

I know you're a boot licker of the state, but here is a concept you might want to try and learn. Try NOT telling somebody what to do for once

So you're angry that you have to wear mask, but you're not going into any places that require you to wear mask? What am I missing if you're doing curbside pickup and Amazon and staying home?

Or are you saying that since you don't use curbside pickup or Amazon and physically go into stores without your mask, people who don't want to be exposed should just stay home?

This part right here. If you dont want to be exposed, stay home. Do you disagree? Going outside is a risk

  11. How can it not be a political statement to FORCE free citizens to follow orders. I finished my time in the military, I don't take orders from government anymore. If this was voluntary, I'd gladly follow guidelines.

I swore an oath to the constitution and freedom, not some cozy politicians. I will live my life as I see fit with no mask, since they are ordering us to. People who demand force be taken on people like me will be met with equal force. You are not my God.

Because of the respect I have for you, I am done with the topic.  I officially let it go

You might as well let it go, your only defense is 17-8. Context matters, and a sharp downward trend while dismissing the whole team and terrible in game decisions... sure. Our criteria of who to keep is obviously different. And that's okay. I just dont agree with letting the culture of our team continue to burn for the sake of "optics".

Glad we needed that 3rd year of Strong to really make sure he finished of the program. Just think if we would have done what was inevitable we'd be on Year 2 of the rebuild.

USF keeps coaches when they need to go, and loses/fire coaches when we need to keep them. The only good thing we did was hire Willie.

Well, it's generally assumed that puc digs in a position and then just types random words and sentences in to argue his point. Remember when he declared Michael Vick and Tim Tebow weren't dual-threat so he didn't have to admit that Kerwin Bell used a running QB?

I generally assume Puc is right and has the best arguments. If you're in favor of government locking us down and performing the massive wealth transfer that they did, then obviously propaganda works for you. Avoiding / dealing with a virus is a personal responsibility

My question, which didn't get addressed, was what happens to the payday at Tejas if they play it in front of no fans? 25%? 50%?  Do we still get the full pay?  I'm guessing not.

I'd assume USF would hold UT accountable for full pay out regardless. The only way we accept less money is if they agree to future 1 for 1 home games and call it even. Unless there is a stipulation in the contract, or the state of Texas massively interferes with functions of the game, a contract should be a contract.
