  1. You're right. More than likely the scenario will involve a negotiation of remaining terms. Contracts have too much money involved not to involve an attorney's greedy hands integrated.
  2. Will be interesting to see if the NCAA violations are cause for termination thus leaving USF largely off the hook for the remainder of his contract. Antigua was in Year 3 of a five-year deal that paid roughly $900,000 annually with $25,000 yearly escalators built in. If terminated for cause (i.e. NCAA violations), the school would owe him only one month of his $375,000 annual base salary, according to his contract. If fired without cause, it owes him the annual base salary until the contract's expiration. (www.tampabay.com)
  3. DJ intends to do some light writing in the off season. Mostly a combination of correcting inconsistencies in the Magna Carta and 'finalizing' the New Testament.
  4. CJF is rapidly becoming one of the most formidable coaches in USF history.
  5. In the new Strong football era let's keep the momentum and excitement of our new coach and new athletic and academic trajectory. USF is headed in an exciting direction these days. Top 25 women's hoops, 10 win football season with a top 25 ranking as well as a formidable medical school winning the state battle for highest quality entering freshman medical students this year. This coupled with a new state academic tier and a new and even more exciting year of football team next year. Remember this year end to give a donation, large or small to USF. A gentle reminder that your donation is TAX DEDUCTIBLE. It's sounds trite, but it all matters. Do your part be it large or small. Here's how! http://www.mybullsclub.com/ GO BULLS!!!

  7. Ive heard a lot from fans about USF and Harlan stepping up to get Strong. Well, they did. Now its your turn BULLS, step up and support your athletic program- remember to buy a ticket even if you can't attend!
  8. Support your U- your University stepped up and landed a great COACH! Now buy a ticket to support your program even if you can't attend! https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/univsouthflorida/EN/buy/quickbuy/315
  9. Frankly, find me a coach, Strong or other that would be a long term commitment to any program in this day and age. I am going to choose to savor landing our new coach as opposed to lamenting his potential loss even before the ink on his contract has dried. I think the only way to improve your chances of keeping a great coach is to go through the rigors of losing a series of good coaches along the way, thus ensuring that your ongoing successes on the field result in other teams taking a hard look at your coach. All in all, a very nice get for USF. Had anyone suggested a coach like Taggart or Strong would have been here to coach USF in the dark ages of Skippy, they'd have been called a fool. Now that it appears our U ponied up for a good coach, lets pony up and get some butts in the stands, donate to the University and its athletic department, and buy bowl tickets even if you can't attend. https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/univsouthflorida/EN/buy/quickbuy/315 GO BULLS!!!
  10. Strong's contract with UT was previously posted by George Jenkins. https://hkm.com/football/wp-content/uploads/coach-contracts/charliestrong-uta-employment-contract.pdf
  11. I contacted ESPN.com and told them- theyre to look into it
  12. Lets be honest with one another, the BIG 12 Presidents spent the last hour of the meeting trying to figure out how to reconcile this...
  13. re: Official DC search thread(Posted on 12/24/15 at 10:33 am to RockyMtnTigerWDE) I just read Phillip Marshall's DC Update. **He said Chad Kelly turned us down (obviously). **There were serious discussions between Auburn and Penn State DC Bob Shop but in the end he stayed. **Mutual interest between Malzahn and Todd Grantham **Rumblings that Paul Rhodes could be a person of interest, but nothing more than talk right now. **On USF DC Tom Allen...Many thought he would be named DC soon after USFs game. The fact that didn't happen and still hasn't is likely telling that Gus hasn't made a decision or is going in another direction. **Gus wants to name a DC by January 8th. **If Tom Allen isn't named DC soon then tune into the Louisville / Texas A&M game Wednesday and watch Grantham This post was edited on 12/24 at 10:35 am
  14. "If not Allen, who's next?" http://auburn.247sports.com/Article/PMARSHONAU-If-not-Allen-who-is-next-42256060
  15. Just conjecture here, but two diehard Auburn fans, guys I grew up with called Auburn, and I quote, "one match away from a dumpster fire". The fan base is 'fed up' with underperformance and it seems most believe if 2016 is a repeat performance of 2015 then the entire staff likely will get wiped out on both sides of the ball. Again, just conjecture, but something to consider is that should AU underperform next year Allen could be looking for a new job during Christmas in 2016. This was an interesting perspective from AU fans and perhaps could be an influence on taking a job with Auburn considering the current atmosphere there. Myself, Id take the risk.
  16. NEB- you're a respected Bull, to be sure. I love the idea of the disadvantaged child receiving such a nice gift too- really, well done. thank you!!
  17. Thanks KB- I appreciate the greeting. Long time Bull here. Undergrad class of 1995, med class 2001 now living in Boston. Attended first game ever, as well as both FSU and Auburn games in person and many others. Ive traveled to several UCONN games as well locally. Ive read the board for a long long time and was doing my best to get to Miami, however, this fell through unfortunately. Thanks for the great welcome. I, like many here have the heart of a bull. Bought and donated 2 tickets today in support. Travel safe everyone in the coming week.
  18. The USF ticket office representative told me today 'we have almost sold through the entire initial allotment' when I ordered my two tickets today around 11am. Perhaps it was an embellishment, however, he went further to suggest they expected them to be 'completely sold out' well before the game. I never know whether this is a ploy to demonstrate support by the ticket agents, however, we'll soon tell.
  19. I purchased two tickets today and donated them through USF's program directly to the Wounded Warrior Program. As of 11am today, they were 'almost entirely through the original allotment of 7,400" according to the ticket agent that I purchased with.
  20. I live in Boston and had planned to attend the Miami Beach Bowl, however, to my dismay, was told today by my boss that being off Monday for the game was not an option. I bought two tickets through the ticket office and to my surprise the ticket office will donate your tickets directly to the Wounded Warrior program. Also, good news, as of this morning around 11am, USF had almost sold out of their original allotment according to the USF ticket agent I spoke with.... GO BULLS!
