he didn't bench them. he kicked them off. 10 of them. two were legit. they were accused of a crime.

the rest it seems were for team violations. likely for smoking pot as he doubled drug tests when he got there.

seems pretty stupid to me. gutting a program for violations not for actual crimes

Better not be double drug tests at USF. I think the majority of college football player smoke.

I basically said that I suffered in the stands through the Holtz years and CWT's first 2.5 seasons and never once considered cancelling my tickets.  That this hire would really strain my relationship with the Bulls and I would seriously have to consider doing just that rather that root for this guy.

EXACTY what I did and would do. Hey great minds think alike.

I've seen his name being floated in just about every list of candidates for our job, even by those who are plugged into our athletics office. It's pretty much unanimous that he is an unacceptable hire to the USF fan base and Tampa Bay community due to his history with both.  I know I would totally abandon my support of the program if he was hired and I know quite a few Bulls who have said the same. I'm thinking #NeverSchiano should become a thing. I'm usually not one for these social media crusades but this seems like a worthy cause and Harlan is very active on twitter.  What say you fellow bullspen denizens?

Couldn't have said it better myself.

We'd be smart to try and increase his buyout with flowers and Mack being back.

This, if Willie is smart he will ride these guys for next season. I have come to think that if he does bolt, what does that mean in terms of USF's perception? Just a spring board job for the next up and coming? I mean how the hell do you get recruits to stay committed if the coach is gone every three years. This cycle of bs needs to stop. I and I will finish with this, Jim would still be here..

Could have been honored but definitely wasn't snubbed.

    Jones 1770 yards 8 tds
    Sutton 1246 yards 10 tds
    Lucas 1136 yards 12 tds
    Adams 960 yards 10 tds

It took Jones 810 more yards to produce 2 fewer TD's (8); Sutton 286 more yards to equal 10 TD's; Lucas 176  more yards to equal 10 TD's.

Ya he got screwed. BTW he's one of the best blocking receivers we have seen in a long very long time. Shouldn't have been just a numbers game.

Tough to say what he'll do, but lack of attendance and not being able to play for NCs will be a huge factor in his decision.  He has constantly harped on attendance and pleaded with the area to support this team, which is very deserving of better crowds than it gets, and the community has failed to show up other than FSU.

You can thank all of the support we have from our toad newspaper. I mean the pen is mightier than the sword. Those two jag-offs over there could have help sell our product but instead try to bury it.

  7. My take is that he stays. Why? First of all like some have said, QF, MM DJ, RA are the TEAM in many ways. His defense is one of the worst in CF.  That's not improvement. I know, I know  its all about scoreboard..Right?  I think he still has things to prove here, such as showing he can develop a QB other than Flowers and oversee a balanced team. I mean he's already a millionaire- big fish in a smaller pond deal. No pressure here.
