the young rb,who looked good, ripped for a long run and was heading towards sidelines and instead of running over the smaller cb

he walked out of bounds

 

I HATED THAT AND THAT ISNT THE WAY TO MAKE A STATEMENT

 

 he should have lowered his hat and plowed into cb instead of tip toeing out of bound

 

we are not a tough team

we are weak team and we play very soft

RBs have limited shelf lives; there's no need to take unnecessary punishment. If hitting a guy will get you the first down, or give you the possibility of breaking the run, then you do it, but Tice had 4 guys on him. If he ran over the DB, someone else would have taken him down.

 

No point in risking the injury just to prove you are a tough guy and gain one extra yard. Good, smart move by Tice. Protect your body. We need it.

a return man yesterday had a chance to step out of bounds, instead dropped shoulder, would be tackler fell and returner went on to score.  You never know if it will be one yard or a touchdown.  If you commit to stepping out of bounds then you are sure that is as far as you will get
