Edit: Per USF:

It has been announced that Robert Weiner has decided to remain the head coach at Plant High School.

“Coach Weiner is a great coach and a man who will continue to do great things at Plant. We knew pulling him away from the young men in the Plant program would be very difficult for him, and we wish him continued tremendous success moving forward.” – Head Coach Willie Taggart

If there was any "influencing" done, ie $$$$, it wasn't to screw USF, it was strictly to keep Weiner ... They probably raised his recruiting budget.

I understand that's a hard decision to make...but you don't accept a position and then go back on it. Maybe he should have weighed his decision a little longer

It makes sense. With things going the way they are, Plant is going to be offered an invitation to join the Big East soon.
