So let me get this straight.....Eveld plays one half one one quarter and loses a year of eligibility? Brilliant!

How is it "not brilliant"? Seriously? How could anyone predict he would get hurt. No one player's eligibility is more important than the team. ANd realistically Eveld is never going to be the franchise QB for the next two years. If he gives the team teh best chance to win then he starts. If he gets hurt then that is football.

I would say realistically Eveld WILL be the QB next year. Woulard is as good as gone. We could have used the 2 years of eligibility.

I am not so sure that anyone is as good as gone... but I don't think we make decisions on high school seniors verbal commits. I think it is unlikely Eveld is our starter next year and the probability that he is our starter in 2014 is almost zero (well zero now - but even with a year of elibility). You'd take a JC transfer before we let that happen. Eveld is great, but he isn't a D1 QB... of course we have tried to win with an "athlete" at that position for nearly a decade!
