What kind of offers did he have coming out of high school?

I don't know.

I think he was mostly playing varsity basketball in HS.

I didn't find anything for when he came out of high school except for signing his LOI w/ his CC, Maybe he didn't have the grades

Aside from grades, I think he was playing basketball and not football at the time.

Juco corner Willis is Bulls' 12th commitment for 2013

We reported last night that there was a good chance, and junior college cornerback Nate Willis confirmed Thursday that he committed to play for the Bulls during a campus visit with Skip Holtz.

Willis, a Pahokee graduate who is now at Arizona Western, is USF's 12th commitment for 2013, and the third cornerback in the class, joining Jacksonville's Darius Whitty and Moultrie (Ga.) standout Johnny Ward. It's the second time in as many years that USF has gotten a corner from Arizona Western, with former teammate Josh Brown joining the Bulls in January.

Willis said Wednesday night that he expects to be able to join the Bulls in January, giving him a full spring to learn USF's defense for 2013.
