I don't usually get into recruiting so please forgive my woeful ignorance about AW. Other than he is from Winter Park, won the MVP for Elite 11 and most people on here seem stoked about his commitment, I don't know much about him.

The question I have is: Is he a pocket passer or a dual threat QB?

well, i believe all the sites list him as a Dual Threat, but he beat out all the Pocket Passer qbs for MVP, which to my understanding is a pocket passer competition. AW can't get here soon enough is all I'm saying. Edited by 2000bull

AW is great at scrambling which is why he is listed as a Dual Threat. But he has proven ability to be a pocket passer, and that is where his personal focus is.

He's a qb I hate the prejudice and the categorical ranking. Dual threat is a pocket passer and a run threat. 3rd and 6 and good coverage down field give me the guy that can get it by any means. Gino Smith, Teddy Bridgewater, Asiantii Woulard ...

I'd love him to turn out to be close to a Geno Smith type qb

this is what I always imagine when I watch him. That'd be an amazing blessing for this team.
