Beating a top 10 UL and WVU would not get us into top 25?   That's probably the most uneducated statement I've heard all day from a so called "nerd"

I'm gonna wait until we beat a real team before I start talking about us possibly getting ranked.  Beating a I-AA and two non-BCS teams isn't going to get us recognized by the talking heads and pundits.

You make it sound like 6 is a long shot (nor is it a cake walk). There are 4 games that we could most likely win....UConn, UNC, Cincinnati, and Syracuse. If we win those thats 7....bowl eligible. Pull 2 out of 3 from Kansas, Rutgers, & Pitt, thats 9 wins. So I'll stay with my preseason pick of 8-4 with a bowl.

I'd just like to add that the Rutgers coach is a major tool and they aren't as good as they seem. Have we not forgotten this on I-4 a couple years ago?

12 teams outside of top 25 got votes this week.  25+12 = 37.

we are now 40th, 53rd last week.  

all we did was beat UCF.

kansas is big 12 team.

even teams like TCU and Boise that play very few good teams are ranked.

winning is only important part of being ranked.

we get votes with kansas.

close to being ranked if we beat nearly, and possibly, ranked Rutgers.

it will be hard to beat both of those teams, so it could be moot point.  however, not many teams make it to 5-0 so we would be close.  UConn could seal it, UNC would insure it.  however, let's try to be kansas and see what happens.  I doubt we win 2 or more in a row, although I certainly hope we do and it's possible.

He's not a tool he just realizes you catch more bees with honey than vinegar when it comes to promoting your program.  CJL could take some lessons from him when it comes to media relations, especially with him being on the Rome Show and Cold Pizza last week.

i am with you and the problem is i am not sure kansas is a real team but playing them on the road will be a real test
