It certainly seems like the Big 12 told USF at some point that it needed to improve it's facilities.  It doesn't mean the B12 said "build it and we'll invite you"... instead it may have been "we didn't pick you because . . ."

No one will ever (EVER) officially say this happened.  But it's definitely within the realm of possibility.

 

We all know UCiF would block USF. So we best go for the ACC lol

USF's board of trustees approved a $340 million budget to build a 35,000-seat on-campus football stadium that could be ready as soon as 2026.

Some VPMK quotes in there on realignment. Sadly, to me, they don't fill me with a ton of confidence.

Because they are all about all the things other people have done to give him more opportunity than anyone else that has had the job and none have anything to with him putting the right people in the right places and winning? Buying $340 million in lottery tickets isn’t a plan for success it’s a Hail Mary by someone with carpal tunnel, a couple of broken arms, and a pair of torn rotator cuffs. If someone had a legitimate road map to the P5 and said a stadium is a necessary component then let’s get to building. Unfortunately VPMK has demonstrated that if he said he has a road map to Embassy Suites and you can see it from where we are standing on campus you should then question your eyes and say “hey siri give me walking directions to Embassy Suites. You do not let people like him make lifetime commitments just because well I’ve always wanted one and maybe he once heard in passing that it would help.

Well, you can say that if you want, why not?  But, if you look at what has transpired since 2010, it’s just been a constant killing of the fan base.  So, you know what’s left really isn’t as bad as it seems.  There’s TREMENDOUS potential for rebuilding a committed fan base.
