What a huge momentum changer.  They were having their way with us on that first drive.  Looked like it was going to be a long day.

It was a long day. Believe we were on campus for about 12 hours.  Craziness but memorable.

Careful, we are reminiscing about a non-conference game.  :)

I picked up every piece of memorabilia that day.  I planned to have a drink post game with the Irish fans at that little strip of bars and shops.  But the game ended so **** late all we had was a long drive back to Chicago.

I had the pleasure of sitting next to a Notre Dame fan, not a student or former student, but a local.  He talked a lot of trash to his girlfriend about USF.  I struck up a convo with him and tried to help him sound less stupid in front of his woman.  Anyway, he was melting down most of the game but still, he came back after the first weather interruption (still confident)....never saw him after the second.  It was too bad.  We were having great conversation.

It was hot too.  We took the train from Chicago and were afraid that there wasn't going to be one late enough by the time the game was over, so we ended up leaving after the last delay.  Great weekend, though I do recall hearing about Mr. Selmon's passing during the trip, which put a bit of a damper on things.

So assuming ND & South Florida becomes official....add The Citadel  - that replaces two out of three, are we still looking to add another?  Probably should schedule all possible with such unknown out there..

The way I see it we need another home game. I wonder if anyone has the 5th open and is willing and able to travel to Tampa.

Certainly did but possibly inspired the players.  Only met him a handful of times but always the utmost class and kindness.

FIU has an opening on 9/5. Could be a possibility being in state.

I don’t think there is going to be much difference between a home or an away game from a fan’s perspective, if we can actually get someone to pay us being on the road is probably the greater benefit

To be determined. I have heard there are plans. Not going to say much more than that. If we follow along the FSU model of tailgating and attendence you can bet I will be there. If not I will watch from home.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
