Honestly I'm mostly upset that we may lose out on the money. Coming off 4-8 I'd rather us play Nevada and FAU which I expect will be mighty struggles this year.

So ends all the expectations for the big Texas game on our schedule(for past 2 years). Bummer. Be a drag if our first game is FAU. Nevada is prob a stretch since the Gov of N Mex has been trying to get the NM schools not to play.??

I went to their 24/7 site. It said the Big 12 would play nine conference games and allow for one non conference game. So it’s expected that they will choose UTEP for that game. If the didn’t choose USF that means the dogged us and should have to pay out of it. I don’t see the legal maneuver being applied here.

Might be a negotiation to establish a payout amount? With the C19 I would think that TX and B12 would try to protect their universities from paying out due to decreased income 2020. Not sure any colleges are going to sue another school with all that is going on. One possible ace in the hole might be, Texas had to make a choice re: a non-conference game. So they could have still played our game but "chose not to". There's a good chance the payout to UTEP is lower because they are part of the UT system. Little tough to shun your offspring. Be interesting to see how this plays out ultimately???

No way USF will get the full amount of the payout. Hope for half or better yet a reschedule.
