Good post, good memories. Was living in Alaska at the time and was insufferable after than win--if no one knew about us before, I was determined to tell them lol.

I'll tell you that West Virginia knew who we were going into this game.  Not many folks remember, but we had just beaten them the previous year in Morgantown when they were ranked #7.  Of course they thought it was a fluke and were looking to set things straight in Tampa.  What a great night.

Back then, it seemed like the sky was the limit.  Knocking off ranked teams, filling the stadium, playing quality opponents.  I get chills every time I watch that game.  Seems so long ago.
