When you have a winning culture and the experience in Conference Titles the 'bounces' tend to go your way. This was very similar to UCF's game at Memphis during the Bortles Fiesta Bowl year and we all know how that season ended.

Randy Shannon getting exposed
Heup's playcalling not much better
ugly performance

you guys under Strong remind me of a certain former UCF coach..ball control, always a decent defense, but your offense will be a mixed bag

In all honesty I didn't expect last year's nail biter against the knights. We didn't really have an impressive game until then. We gave them the fight of their life, and if it weren't for that fumble, the results would most likely have been different.
I say that to remind everyone that this team plays lights out when they're focused, just like last year's team. The only reason ECU was ever in the game was because of one sided officiating.
The knights looked very beatable when they first squared up against FAU. FAU doesn't have our passing threat or defense or unbreakable will to win. Shoot think back to FSU during Winston's last year... they always played down to competition and willed themselves to victory in the 4th.
Houston is obviously beatable and UCF hasn't had a challenge all year. Before this game didn't Milton throw quite a few interceptions? Imagine him going up against our defense doing that ish, we'll eat him/ them alive.
Long story longer, we've got hope. Hope we didn't have after Q took his last snap originally. This team isn't flashy, their wins aren't pretty, but they're hungry. They have the mindset of winners mixed with zero quit. That mixed with the skill they possess and the fact that teams will come in doubting us... We may haphazardly win our first conference championship.
UCF had a 27 point lead at one point in the 4th quarter vs FAU where Lane was going all out(regular formation punts, fake punts, etc) & they are 12-2 in their last 14 games going back to last year with the only 2 losses being to Oklahoma and UCF.
My guess you were posting the same thing last year. Nitpicking who we play when you guys are playing the same opponents and not scoring as many points. Barnett is not Flowers or Milton.

The funding for FAU's Program has gone up with some big time donations. They could become a problem if they get momentum bc they are set up better(locale, infrastructure) compared to FIU for example who I think is forever dead.

I'd rather lose to USF or any other AAC team than FAU.
that would be a gut punch and especially with Lane Kiffin as their coach. It also would be a major fail by Heup after a sloppy 2nd game.

bc kissing the ring of snobby traditionalists that never want to give UCF or USF a fair shake is a better option. Every move by UCF AD Danny White is brilliant and will be proven right in the long term.

Strong and Randy Shannon must be golfing together

His Youtube views were probably getting low

What he said. Behind closed doors if you are pushing 4 it cool. But if u begging and kissing ass in public then no. Im not a beggar in real life and dont want my team begging.
sounds like your OCS talks on here 'when we do it we will do it right!'
I'm proud of Danny White, best AD in America.

The other option is to just shut up and wither away. This is getting a lot of publicity from national writers that have always thought this system is stupid

You could argue USF moving up conferences that quick was the worst thing that could have happened to your fanbase.
and with UCF I only count when they went D1. You think anyone seriously cared about a D3 Program in 1981? UCF didn't decide to even try at Football till Dr. Hitt became President, there was even talk of dropping Football altogether.

Shannon was less than impressive coaching and recruiting at UF. None of my more knowledgeable Gator friends even wanted to retain him due to how underwhelming he was..... It's even more silly to not look at his most recent tenure to judge what kind of coach he may be at UF.
Most Gator fans are idiots. The Gator defense regressed bc their offense sucked & went 3 and out the entire game. Like all new Coaches Mullen is going to bring his own guys

Meh, he is a has been.
he's not much different than Strong without the dirty recruiter that delivered Bridgewater for him at Louisville

seriously though if you can get over that UCF is the team in the video it's really good. HBO 24/7 quality and a roller coaster of emotions for the players

UCF AD Danny White is using the offensive mind model
I don't mind it

Tell those guys to take their official visits during January or February. That will cool them to Neb pretty quickly
yep. The whole month leading to signing day is brutal weather up there
And Frost is a 'good recruiter' but he is not on Taggart's level. It was easy to recruit to UCF compared to the rest of the AAC, it was the first time we didn't have a grumpy retread. They will do their social media wave campaign but I don't think he'll have close to the recruiting success that Taggart is having at Oregon

I just meant to say that if Frost stays involved through the bowl game, he's a better man than Willie.
These guys are pulling in millions and the least they can do, is do right by the players.
in fairness to Willie if UCF had 2 losses this season I don't think Frost would try to coach the bowl game, I think he has a guilt of not leaving UCF in a bad position as an undefeated team. Going undefeated is rare and I'm sure UCF's AD brought that up to him.

"Retread" who owned the conference when he was at Houston. And took TAMU to 6 bowl games in the SEC West. Sumlin is a proven winner with an 8 win floor. Just didn't cut it in the SEC. When you have the worlds best facilities and among the highest salary you gotta be competing for championships. He got the Axe for going 1-12 against LSU and Alabama. He did pretty good against the rest of the conference. I think TAMU had the best record over his 6 years in the SEC west only after Bama.
This. He was put in the SEC West with a Program transitioning from the Big12 and had to deal with Nick Saban and LSU at their best where they had that run when both were top 5 teams almost every season. Chances are Sumlin would have been successful in the SEC East or Pac12. He would be a great fit at UCF if he doesn't go to Tennessee or Oregon

Talking heads are blaming the emotions from Frost leaving.
Frost better adjust quickly because this game is one Memphis score away from the beginning of a rout.
not feeling good about it. kind of glad I couldn't make the game in person bc I can't imagine what the fans are screaming in there

North Carolina won 11 games when that game was scheduled by UCF.
UCF was supposed to play at Texas this season but they bought it out
There is only so much you can control
The barrage of hate UCF is receiving for existing and winning should alarm every fan not in the Power 5.
