    In Need of 4 Tickets For Tonight's Basketball Game

    Sorry for posting this in this section but I feel not many check the ticket thread and would have a better chance of seeing this here.

     

    Family is in town, looking to get 4 tickets together for tonight's game vs. Detroit for under $20 a ticket. Was just on Stubhub and 2 of the 5 tickets from one seller that I was in the process of purchasing were purchased right before I could finish, leaving just 3 remaining in that row for $5.00.  Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you to anyone who might be able to help!

    Stan called it in his pre game talk. These type games give coaches sleepless night before the game.

    Yep, this is the responsibility of Heath. He is the primary motivator and he is not getting it done. This is ***** Stetson

    Let's clarify what he means when he says "This is ****** Stetson." Stetson is 342nd in Points Per Game at 56.5, 316th in Rebounds at 31.0 per game, 308th in Assists Per Game, and 332nd in Field Goal Percentage at 37.5%.

     

    We need to be better than this...

    It's freaking college basketball .... Ask UNC about Belmonr

    oh is it really? Didn't realize upsets occur in sports..thanks for clarifying that teams can play above their level.

    If you got you wouldn't have gone through all the trouble of looking up meaningless stats

    Well, now that we have lost to Memphis, there appears to be not much left to play for this season.

     

    Conference Title: Will not qualify

    Bowl Game: Not Eligible

    Home Game Fans: Not many left in the stadium seats for games

    .500 record: Not possible (Best possible is 5-7 overall)

     

    The ONLY thing we have left as a reason to even continue playing the rest of the season is to try to beat UCF to protect our undefeated record against them.

     

     

    Now, what I think we really need to be a good team that hasn't been talked about much is an On-Campus Stadium.

    I seem to remember concerns many years ago about meeting a minimum attendance # to maintain Div 1 status.  Is that still the case? Is there a minimum attendance avg that a team has to maintain?

    "Subdivisions in Division I exist only in football.[6][37] In all other sports, all Division I conferences are equivalent. The subdivisions were recently given names to reflect the differing levels of football play in them.

    The method by which the NCAA determines whether a school is Bowl or Championship subdivision is first by attendance numbers and then by scholarships.[38] For attendance reporting methods, the NCAA allows schools to report either total tickets sold or the number of persons in attendance at the games. They require a minimum average of 15,000 people in attendance every other year.[38] These numbers get posted to the NCAA statistics website for football each year. With the new rules starting in the 2006 season, the number of Bowl Subdivision schools could drop in the future if those schools are not able to pull in enough fans into the games. Additionally, 14 FCS schools had enough attendance to be moved up in 2012.[39] Under current NCAA rules, these schools must have an invitation from an FBS conference in order to move to FBS.     To say there is nothing left to play for shows a complete lack of understanding on the part of the OP. Maybe nothing left for you but plenty for this team.

    Pride? Effort? Not giving up? Resilience? All the intangibles that don't show up in the record books but the things people/ the self-proclaimed "true fans" focus on when all else is lost.. Face the facts, we are 2-7 and maybe very easily end up 2-10..but guess what everyone, we'll get 'em next year! ...or was it the year after that? I don't lack understanding in anything. I listed tangible things that we can no longer play for..I did include the ucf game as the very last thing left. Do you honestly think any recruits care if we finish 3-9 instead of 2-10? Name me one tangible thing worth playing for at this point that shows I lack understanding? I understand we suck, I think that's all I need to understand at this point.

    Best combo for me was AC, Allen, Egbunu, VR, Aleem. They defended rebounded and pushed the ball.

    Perry doesn't seem comfortable yet with big John on the court.

    Allen AC backcourt will cause problems on both ends.

     

    Aleem? you're joking right? lol

     

    Aleem: 20 minutes, 1-5 FG, 0-4 3 pointers, 2 points....he doesn't contribute enough on the offensive end to be in the game. He needs to work on his 3 pointer if he wants minutes. His 4 rebounds aren't enough to be on the floor.
