  1.

Egbunu did not play as much. Only in a couple min intervals, his back was still strained (relating to GMU game). Props to him for playing through the pain. Trainers stretching him out throughout the game.

Did not notice that during the game. Stan, in his pregame talk, said that his knee was fine. Didn't know about the back.

Good win and atmosphere last night

Props, AGAIN, to the students. They were awesome ... That type support is going to be missed in the games over the holidays.

Yeah unfortunately we don't have consistent fan support from the rest of the bowl seat owners and 200 section attendees who are mostly in their 70s or parents with 3-6 year olds and don't show much energy during the games. The students are the real energy in the Dome and without them, it'll be a different atmosphere in there. I don't like that the bowl is sold out to season ticket holders, some of which buy the seats but don't even live near USF. They buy the tickets to "support the program" but the seats remain empty during the games. If you don't plan on frequently attending then please do not buy the season tickets or at least make sure your seats are filled EVERY game. Just wish we had such a tradition that filled half or all of the bowl with students (like Duke/ Pitt) and energized young alumni to remain standing, jumping, and yelling the entire game. It seems like most are there to watch a play or a movie.  "Shhh youngin.. sit down, please. I'm trying to relax here."

  2. When does the basketball game start?

    9 pm

So I have to watch an hour more of this?

with how basketball has played the past few games (with the exception of a lucky game winner) i'm not sure that game is going to be a whole lot less painful to watch.

The basketball team could be 7-1 right now with a loss to a very good Oklahoma State but in typical USF fashion we blew that 7-1 opportunity

  3. Seriously, what is the biggest problem that leads to all this lack of success in USF athletics? Is it the type of athletes we recruit? Is it the water? Are our athletes and coaches slightly mentally challenged? Indian Burial Ground? What do you think it is that we have across the board failure year in and year out?

  4. Well, at least our season is over early like in football...I hate having to wait until a 1/4 of the season before losing hope.

You know that they'll bring back some hope, in typically USF fashion by upsetting someone like Memphis, only to lose to the worst team in the AAC (that is, if it's not us) the next game by 20 pts. That is USF.

  5. I know of small school high school basketball players who shoot a higher percentage shot than most of our players. Missing wide open shots is just wrong. The hoop hasn't changed heights or distance their entire lives. It's the same dimensions they've been shooting on since they were children. Don't quite understand why it's so difficult for them to stop bricking their shots.
