  1. I was thinking the same thing! I didn't really believe that was the chant at first, haha..
  2. I don't see Alabama falling off. They have had 20+ win seasons for the past 3 seasons. I don't know if they will be 20+ this season; but I'm thinking they're at least a 19/20 win team this year. But we shall see. The Detroit loss for us... is really bad. But hey, if we only have the one bad loss during the season I am happy enough.
  3. Dom also broke the scoring record in the USL league, and scored 4 goals in the championship game. Here's an article with more info for those interested: http://www.kansascity.com/2013/11/30/4660280/sporting-kcs-dom-dwyer-has-a-knack.html
  4. No, he does not. I think this is a pretty silly statement to make. We obviously need Rudd, and he will be missed next year.
  5. Game is on espn family of networks so you should be able to catch it on espn3 No ESPN3 coverage. ESPN NEWS only. If you have the watch ESPN app you can watch on your PC That's a shame... I'll be working late as well, so I'll only be able to get to the game around the beginning of the second half. I don't get ESPN News in my Verizon package, so I am "unauthorized" for ESPN news.. And 98.7 does not broadcast online. Sigh.
  6. Actually... I was pretty impressed with the team while AC was injured. Corey Allen Jr. handled the point guard position pretty well. I believe he was in the top 10 or 15 in the nation in assists, before the last game. He's now 22nd in the nation. I'd say that's pretty impressive. There were times when AC slowed down the game last game when I felt it should not have been slowed down. So I'm hoping that's just because of his injury. Regardless, I'm looking forward to AC coming back 100%, but I feel like we can still play well when he needs breaks. I'm with you on that 100%. The team looked good without Collins in there and only struggled when Allen was off the floor or fatigue. When Collins did get into action he slowed the paced down to much and the team struggled until Allen got back on the court. This team will not perform well playing a slower style because we don't have the components to do so successfully. Collins dribbling the shot clock down is just the same as a turnover. With our perimeter shooting getting up as many shots as possible, creating turnovers to convert easier points, and shooting free throws is our offense. For those waiting for the other shoe to drop ..... voila. I think it's a valid concern. I'm sure AC will pick things up, but he is used to playing a slower paced game for the last 2 years, by trying to delay and wait for the final 5-10 seconds on the shot clock. This was due to lack of talent in certain positions. So, it is possible he may need a little time to adjust, especially coming off of an injury. I have no doubt that he will adjust, because he is a great player.
  7. I think many people are looking for somewhere to put their expectations that they used to for football. Just speculation on my part. I love college basketball, and I'm certainly not going to try to predict this season yet..

  9. Guys... basketball is where it's at! I try to convert as many Floridians into basketball fans as I can! I'm starting to make progress with some of my coworkers..
  10. No... Just no. I say no, because the Big East was always considered one of the toughest, if not the toughest conference in the nation year in, and year out..
  11. Allen is a heck of a player.. Very quick and stout on defense to go with his great offensive game. Love it
  12. What the heck is with these camera people?! They keep showing coaches or other people when action is going on...
  13. Indeed.. as you can see on that charge. He probably should have passed it there.
  14. If you have the time, I recommend watching the replay for the Bethune-Cookman game!
  15. Man.. AC is so good He's getting John into the game by driving and dishing.
