QF saved our bacon many times last year making something out of nothing, many times for TD's.  Remember that TD where he went airborne against SMU.  There were many other examples.  AW is no where near as mobile as QF.  QF's mobility alone will account for 10-15 TD's.  He's one of the 3 or 4 most mobile QB's in the country in all of FBS.  Can AW come anywhere near that?  That said, I am glad to hear AW is doing well throwing the ball in shorts and a t shirt.  Proof positive that he should beat or 3,300 yard total offense Quinton Flowers.

Not to mention QF also has an entire year of starts under his belt in real game time situations. Not saying AW couldn't do the same but the chemistry from last year should only get better and help QF.

NCAA women's basketball adopts new rules, including four 10-min. quarters

NCAA women’s basketball games will be played in four 10-minute quarters next season.

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel approved moving the game to the new format and away from the 20-minute halves the sport has always used in NCAA competition on a conference call Monday.

The NCAA Women’s Basketball Rules Committee, which initially recommended the rule change, believes the four-quarter format will enhance the flow of the game. The change also was endorsed by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Board of Directors.

Teams will now reach the bonus and shoot two free throws on the fifth team foul in each quarter. Previously, teams reached a one-and-one bonus on the seventh team foul of each half and reached the double bonus (two shots) on the 10th team foul.

In the four-quarter format, team fouls reset to zero at the start of each quarter. However, if a team reaches the bonus in the fourth quarter, that team would remain in the bonus during any additional overtime periods.

Well, that explains that and it shows I don't watch women's basketball. Thanks for the update.

BJ Daniels has a 0 overall rating at QB in the latest weekly roster update. He's listed as a WR is most likely why, but his WR rating is 57 with slow for a wr 83 speed. His catch ratings aren't bad though. His arm strength is rated below average.

For the uninitiated, Madden updates rosters weekly during the season, changing player ratings, position and injury status for the week based on the previous week's events. EA was too lazy to even change his position back to QB when he went to the Texans weeks ago. 57 would put him with the lowest rated players in the game, he is the lowest rated wr, the next lowest rated is Neal Sterling on the Jags rated 59. I didn't go through all the ratings, he may be the lowest in the game.

Here's a letter the lowest rated player sent John Madden a few years back, lol.  Hilarious.

    What does it matter?

What would you rating for him be?

I can't believe this is even a thread.

  4. I think Mack is Heisman worthy, but he won't get the carries in this system and depth.

    Marlon Mack 193 attempts =  1,273 yards.

Derrick Henry (Heisman) 339 attempts =  1986 yards.

If Marlon Mack had 339 attempts, he would of had ~2,237 yards in the season... Easily shattering Henry's number.

    Yeah, it's a hard comparison.

You're comparing a kid who plays for an elite SEC school and baller who runs behind an O-Line from a weaker conference.

I would love to see what Mack could do behind a Bama line or any other Big Boy School.

You would def see him in the running then.

  5. That article was made back in October. I'm not debating his ability, but there's still nearly all of this school year left of football to play when the article was published. I'm just passing along what I've read in other sites. He just hasn't been entirely the same since his injury.

Though the speculation would be that you take him in case he can be coached up and maybe brought back to the state he was pre-injury. Give him a year to red shirt and heal up to 100% and hit the weight room. Otherwise, sounds like he is sort of riding the wave of such a dominant sophomore year.

I still say you take a chance and go after him. We will be a little thin as others have mentioned on the D-Line and he could def turn out to be a very good recruit.

  6. Josh from 247 advised he hasn't been producing as much after his injury and weight increase (went to DT from DE). Though, as he mentioned, a good DT is hard to come by at times, so you take the guy based on potential and see where it leads.

edit: After posting 22 sacks his Sophomore year, he missed a bunch of his Junior year, and just hasn't produced the same since.

He must be doing something right or someone sees the potential still.
