Patience is needed here. I live in Oregon and have 2 daughters that play(16&11) so I watch a lot of volleyball including taking them to Oregon duck an OSU beavers games. A good recruiting class just came in and added much needed height. Two years from now they won't be 7-13 in the conference. This isn't Pac12 or Big10 volleyball much like our football team won't be Alabama anytime in the near future...if ever. I predict that in 2 years the team will be at least .500 in conference play but next years recruiting class will tell if the program is indeed on the rise or not. The best players in the country go to Nebraska, Texas, Penn State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, USC, & Florida. You get my point I'm sure. Be patient.
Sorry, but 4 straight shutout losses to the kannigits is already too much patience.

So, what happened to Prieto and Nagy (the number one player out of Europe)? They aren’t on the current roster.
Don't see how she could be #1 PLAYER in Europe when she was only the #4 FORWARD in Hungary,

Mike: I appreciate the info - and the history lesson. That's all great, and I appreciate you being a "company man" But I'll say it again, I started the orientation on Monday morning at 7:30 a.m., finished it Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. I heard brief presentations from representatives of the financial aid office, counseling center, university police, housing, faculty, you name it. Athletics was absent. Maybe that makes no real difference. Fine. I just expected they'd be in there somewhere with all their other colleague departments on campus.
Yes, there was an athletics table in the expo on my way out the door to head home exhausted.
And I'm not even concerned with the sales aspect of being there - just the visibility aspect and maybe a little cheerleading to get first-time in college students thinking.
In your place, I would absolutely liked to have heard from Athletics, even if it was 5 minutes.
As a student, I would have also liked to know about the intramural program possibilities!

Losing to the kanniggits in straight sets four times in a row without scoring is a fire-able offense. In any sport. She's gotta go.

I Think he will slim down a bit just because of the change and diet and strength training he will get at USF. Even if he slims down to say 225 he will be more solid than he was coming out of high school.
A solid 225 would certainly do the trick. I wanna see him stay away from the 205 range.
Even though he played for WVU rather than USF, I miss watching Owen Schmitt. Wish we had a fullback in that mold.

Wow, another great get from a tiny nothing town in the middle of nowhere. How does he do it?!!!
Would love to see her wok on her jumping skills and be able to dunk it before she graduates!

Has this become a thread for proclaiming the accomplishments of folks who never saw the field as a Bull?
I bowled a 250 once, the night after staying in a Holiday Inn...

Very nice. Proud to be a BULL!

I'm guessing they're getting room and board, and some spending money? How does this not kill their college eligibility? In any other sport, it would, no?

We are bad still. We suck until we don't.
Like I said.
Mediocre would be an improvement

There's an old saying, "If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best."
It's pretty clear we just want to be mediocre.
That said, after the past couple of years, mediocre doesn't sound so horrible.

It sure has been a strange off season, player quits and goes on Twitter rant, prior five star Bama QB enrolls, QB could be missing two games for dropping a class, AD leaves and gives admin no heads up, and AD search includes all kinds of prospects but a good one is hired. Perhaps the biggest news, although not directly related to athletics, was USF being awarded preeminence status.
Biggest news since the University was founded!

I can do without another 4 months of HB Dive "jokes" from the masses as we put up another record breaking offensive season.
Good God you and me both. It’s like a religion with some in this board...win games and be pissed off we ran the ball? Give me a break!
Well, if CCS had any guts, it would be different!

He says all the right things, but as always, talk is cheap. Looking forward to watching him back up the talk with action.
I really want to like the "Bull Speed Ahead" moniker, but ever since "H***z New Era", I'm super wary of cutesy slogans.

CCS spoke at a Bulls Club function at the Tampa Sports Club a few weeks ago and he seemed very comfortable speaking to the crowd, and taking questions from those in attendance. He also hung out to speak with everyone who wanted to chat afterwards. Unlike xCJL, he didn't look past you to check out the quickest path to the door after his obligation was fulfilled.
Glad to hear it. Maybe he's warming up to the position. Go BULLS!!!
