  1. It needs to be said regardless of where that happens to be. I will never understand split allegiances and things like 2nd favorite teams. As far as I'm concerned it's the Bulls and everyone else. I could care less about any other team unless that team's performance affects us.

The day I enrolled at USF I became a BULL. For life.

Cue the "but I was a Gator/Nole fan since I was 6" crowd.

  2. Curious, do road games weigh heavier for a team's strength of schedule? If we have to go on the road and beat these teams then so be it. I get the Oviedo take of trying to have the big boy perception, but I would rather just take all comers and beat them. Road or not. As long as we trend toward a balanced schedule.

We start beating UF, UT, and Wisconsin the perception of us will certainly change. That would speak much more loudly then refusing 2 for 1 deals. Win!

Maybe fake National Championships give you a sense of entitlement. Fake title, fake outrage, fake people, you see where this goes.

  3. The fact that we as a fan base are dissecting a sports writer's Twitter feed is evidence enough that newspapers are a dying medium, if not already dead. No disrespect to JK (I demand more USF coverage), but the fact that TBT can't allocate the proper resources to cover a Top 25 team should be telling. It isn't lack of interest. They have a few writers playing zone defense covering multiple teams/events.

TBT will be a long lost memory soon. Kind of like the old Buccaneers.com message boards, for those who remember that!

For all of those happy for ucf need to wake up.  Ucf is a disease for us.  There is NO good reason to root for them in any capacity, EVER.

The reasons I have heard to root for them are short cited at best:

    1.  It improves the conference perception - No, not in any meaningful way.  It only separates ucf from usf in perception.  Not ESPN, Fox, or any other network is going to pay the AAC big dollars because the AAC beats a top 10 team in a bowl game most years.  Plus, why do we care so much about conference perception when EVERY team in the conference is actively hoping to get out?

Granted, we are in a completely different position than the SEC, but the point still remains. The only reason we bring up conference is our plight for becoming P5/P6. Are we really that bothered that Memphis lost its bowl game? And there's plenty of people here who can't bring themselves to root for UCF, regardless of AAC perception.

I want to destroy everyone and have our rivals be destroyed. Week in and week out. Thought this was an interesting take.
