  1. Jimmy came made his Major League debut in the 8th with 1 out and a man on 2nd, yesterday, against Cleveland. He promptly gave up a 2 run homer to Greg Allen. Carlos Santana grounded out, then Jason Kipnis hit another one out of the park. Jose Ramirez, Jake Bauers , and Kevin Plawecki singled, Plawecki driving in Ramirez.

He got roughed up pretty good,  3 earned runs on 5 hits. He did throw more strikes than balls, though.

  2. Anymore you have to have internet access to your home with or without TV, so that is a wash.

Even if I end up paying as much in the long run, I still prefer a la carte streaming over 500 + channels I don't want or need and not getting what I want.

As with everything else, the fragmentation will iron itself out as the consumers show the streaming providers what they want and will pay for.

Nice letter from Vinik.....top notch organization as long as he remains owner.....i believe this team will win a stanley within the next 2 or 3 years.

Meanwhile the only team im really rooting against thats left is Boston. Cant stand their players or their fans..Go Blue Jackets - at least this series.

I could like Boston, if not for Brad "Lick Boy" Marchand, The Jackets power play failed them last night. When that happens, Marchand can play as dirty as he likes.

It really was a perfect storm (to steal Triple B's comment) that went against the Lightning, and the #1 seed doesn't usually have to play a #8 seed team the caliber and a team that was peaking at the right time like Columbus was.

2005/06. The Red Wings won the President's Trophy (58 wins 124 points) and dominated the Edmonton Oilers in game 1 of the playoffs, but lost the next 4 games. Detroit won the cup 2 years later. FWIW, that was Steve Yzerman's last season as a player.

  5. The number is Courtney Troyer's extension. Ms. Troyer is the Senior Account Executive with UCF Sales and Service, as listed on their web site.

However, you are probably right and it is somebody messing with me. Just not the way you think. Over the years, I've had t-shirts come from Louisville and West Virginia, phone calls from Tulane and East Carolina, and I've been getting the University of Cincinnati Magazine for almost a decade, now.

Really sucks that our good conference coaches continue to get poached by the P5......i get it but still blows.

I don't know. It is being reported that Frank Martin is a leading contender to replace Mick. They say he's unhappy at South Carolina and he makes less than Cronin was getting paid.

  7. I got this voicemail the other day ...

"Hey (my legal name), this is Courtney over at UCF Athletics. Wanted to reach out to you quick about the 2019 football season. My number is 407-XXX-XXXX. 407-XXX-XXXX. Thanks and Go Knights."

I called Courtney back and left her a voice mail politely asking her to remove my name from their call and mailing list. I then thanked her and said "Go Bulls!!!". 😀

What's interesting is that Depaul doesn't as far as I can tell usually play their home games where we played them tonight. Which makes me wonder why this game was played where it was.

When you look up the venue for game 3 it shows the Wintrust Arena.  After googling that it appears to me the Wintrust Arena is the normal home game spot for Depaul basketball and the facilities look quite impressive.

There appears to be some kind of trade show or other private event at Wintrust that started yesterday and runs through noon Friday.
