I can't fault him, but....
It is very possibly just me, but College Football is slowly dying to me. The inequalities of the haves vs. have-nots is quickly taking all of the joy out of the sport for me. In the space of a week, the AAC has now lost ALL THREE of its top coaches. I'm slowly concluding that it's basically impossible for any of the G5 schools to get into "big time" football because no one else wants any more "P5-level" schools. Not the media companies, not the other schools, and not the other fans. Basically, the only people who want G5 schools to move "up" are those very G5 schools and they have no actual power to make it happen.
So the G5 schools are now stuck in a system where they will be continually poached for coaching talent... over and over and over again. This will ensure that the P5 schools keep getting an influx of good young coaches, and it will ensure that the top-level G5 schools will stay there in the G5.
It's all by design. ESPN/Media and the P5's colluded to ensure this. It's a "stacked deck" which in turn goes against the grain of what sports should be about....It is all based on greed to ensure their success. Pathetic. There are negative parallels relating to season tickets, trying to grow the fan base and overall excitement in the area. Programs with a history of success will bounce back pretty quickly relating to these areas but the USF brand is fragile and it will be interesting to see how momentum is affected.

It would be great if Duemig had to eat crow.

My all-time favorite movie. If I only had ONE DVD to take to a deserted island, this would be it
Fantastic movie..............Up until the "EM-50" project. They should have ended the movie after they win the competition. Just my opinion

Possible "updraft" issues should it get stormy. Will need custom "L" brackets/braces.

ESPN talking heads are lame, except for live sports I don't watch ESPN, especially hate it when one of the affirmative action lesbians are calling football games.
ESPN is a joke. Nothing more than Enhanced Social Propaganda Network. The broadcasts and shows consist of nothing more than repeated soap opera dreck (ad nauseum),hypothetical questions, over-the-top exaggeration and phony exuberance. Sports talk radio and local news (tv) all follow the same script. It's all a joke.

Hopefully that is on one of the first slides in our double secret presentation to them.
Thankfully they didn't blame us for stealing their "horn-finger" sign. I've always wondered why that bothered people so much. Weird.

Good lord now Duemig is pretending to know things about USF
also the English language
He's the stuttering-stammering-blithering-J'Off of daytime sports radio. He's pathetic.

Send a message to the Big 12. Fire him.

So...
What odds would you estimate for USF getting into the B12? Let's make that percentage; I prefer percentages.
65%, I feel good about this.

Will someone please remove this post. Thanks.

Put me on record as supporting the extension 100%. This is not a Holtz-Woolard situation by any means. 3 years in, I was done with Holtz. 3 years into the CWT era, I'm having more fun watching USF football than I have, perhaps since 2009.
Your post jogged a memory. I remember the first game of 2012 when we played Chattanooga, we ended up winning 34-13, however, I could see something was terribly wrong with Holtz's coaching style. The players were lethargic, had no emotion and you could see the smoke (ala' the last days of Pompeii). We should have won that game by 45.

It seems that the USA writer is recommending that Mizz speak with blah, blahh...... Rather than Miizz indicating that they plan on speaking with......Just an observation, I could be wrong.

Having Pierre-Paul, Selvie, and Ben Moffitt helped Burnam. Seems like Allen get's the most out of a little less. Imagine if we get some substantial players like the aforementioned.

Ahhhh, the fluke season of 2013. USF had to give away the game at the end to allow UCF into the bowl. Complete fluke season for ucif.

Do you think it was a factor for Pitt when they got the call up to the ACC from the Big East?
I don't think the comparison matches up. I certainly am not trying to imply that I am completely correct. I think that in USF's case, eventually having an OCS could be a key fit for USF.

Pretty sure USF has a MBB coach that won a Nat'l Championship. Should we start expanding the Sun Dome to accommodate the larger crowds?
That retort doesn't relate to what I am talking about. The Sun Dome is already on campus and I didn't make a reference to expanding the Buccaneers football stadium.

I would say the influence that a 3 year assistant coach at a "P5" school makes any difference to conference expansion is none
I think Leroy Selmon was integral into USF moving into the Big East before other schools. I'm not saying the UCF coach would be the difference maker or that he is at Leroy Selmon's level, but I think it may help.

This has been said SOOOO many times, and one more time just isn't going to make it true. There is absolutely no precedent that an OCS leads to a conference upgrade. Your entire point is based on a wild assumption.
I think the stadium will be a factor. There may not be a precedent, but it still may be a factor.

The debt will be a burden in the short-term. However, to gain traction for an invite to a larger conference, the stadium will be a factor, subsequently, more revenue will be generated in the long-term (via' the conference upgrade).
One can't help but ponder the fact that UCF just hired (allegedly, per the reports this a.m.) a coach that won a Natl. Championship in the Big 12, He may be able to add some influence as it relates to expansion. Consider our situation compared to UCF's.

Congratulate them on their board. Not this one.

ESPN is a joke. It's nothing more than a conduit to spew social activism propaganda.

Going on 10 years and you are bringing up "officiating?"......Nah, that had nothing to do with it. Nice try though.
