A performance that reflects competence, competitiveness, cohesion and heart. I heard an analogy today and it applies to being a fan of USF in its current state. Basically, the feeling you get when the gas light comes on in your car while driving and you aren’t sure how far the vehicle can continue on to the closest station to fuel up. Unsettling.

One positive is that Richardson does not react well to adversity, he looked almost child-like on the sidelines on Saturday night.

With the 12 team playoff coming I am wondering if that is going to matter as much now. USF could now end up being like the Gonzaga of college football
Bingo. The Bigaac is probably more trouble than it is worth. Think about the other sports such as tennis, et al,. flying 2000 miles to play a game. If more East coast teams were added it would make more sense. As well all know, ACC is key and I think that is where this all leads for USF.

He would bail at the first sign of success. This program needs a “lifer” someone that loves the area and the school so much, that they would not want to leave.

Bigaac-ucf, sucked at the time their stadium was built. Things evolved and their has been an increase in fan support and game day experience. The same will occur with USF.

Not quite the “run-n-shoot” but the “chuck-n-duck.”

Not miserable. However, It’s very concerning that the equivalent of a JC team, acquired 20 pts. Our team looks listless (at times), confused, inept, fragile and very unstable. It is very hard to say with confidence that things are on the upswing. Also, keep in mind that QB1 has looked significantly sub-par.

These players are not this bad I believe they’ve given up on the coaches.

They have a plan for something substantial and would not be building the stadium if they didn’t already have an offer.

To get blasted by BYU at home is inexcusable on so many levels and the parallels that stem from it. Regardless, I feel very confident that we still move into a more substantial conference and that it will all turn around. It is painful though.

Translation: We didn’t think about the up-tempo-thingy. Forgot it existed until BYU came into town. By that time, it was too late………..Pathetic.

Joe Montana said essentially the same thing.
The point of the story transcends the “one game”. The substance of the story pertains to all of the other obstacles.

I listen to the Jay P Peterson show every morning from 10 to 12 and unlike any other radio stations in the Tampa market (over the course of time), he devotes a significant amount of coverage to USF. It’s a nice change

Timmy (being a kid, not his fault), made a decision based on advice that he will probably regret.

It’s great to see. However, he is still a young man and it would not be fair for him to feel the abundance of pressure pertaining to having to win games in a single-handed fashion for this team. They ALL need to pull the weight, otherwise, their could be repercussions relating to his confidence, et al.,

So much for the tight-knit quarterback room that was "like family". From the scrimmage reports, it seemed like the competition was fairly equal. I can see TM getting upset if Gerry wasn't noticeably better. Timmy took his lumps last year, improved over the off-season and then lost the starting job. It's still a bad move to transfer when he's one injury away from being the starter again.
Sometimes you have to be patient in life. You don’t always get exactly what you want when you want it because you want it. Adios to him.

Nope, graduated and moved to Texas. "Got my degree and left" and really has no interest in college football. And like so many alumni really don't care one way or the other about USF. Just moved back to the area, a friend told her about the Ray's game and thought it sounded like fun.
So, essentially, he is unaware because he ostracizes himself from caring and being aware.

Support is only gaining momentum.
Don't be fooled by the 4 people on here that endlessly b**ch about the same thing over and over again. The reality is that things are building.
You are correct.

To me, if you have to pin it down to one major factor, it was the coach immediately following CJL not being able to build upon what he started. If CSH was handcuffed in regards to that, that could be where ineptitude could come in.
Holtz was inept, Taggart wanted to prove just enough to garner interest from other schools to bail out, String was collecting a paycheck. Success came from the fact that people knew Leavitt would never leave. The community bought into to it and so did recruits. Our coach (if successful)needs to have the desire to create a legacy here and not move on. If not, find one that will.
