If GB has one year left, why would he automatically go BB and why would BB automatically transfer?

    Why?

BB is better and has more upside. And we have the opportunity to have him continue to work in the system with years Still they go versus starting over again next year.

  3. Yeah, I think for me shade is good if they have it. I may actually want to be closer to the Home tunnel. I just think that would be a cool experience.

I currently have club access, but I’ll be honest I spend so little time in the club. Normally it will be before a game and then sometimes during intermission. I never even go back out the club because it’s quicker to get to my car another way. So it may come down to price point and where I’m getting a bigger bang for my buck.

I think even more than seating selection, I think parking lot selection is going to be huge because obviously the availability is going to be way different on campus. However, if they create the right environment, where are you park or really not matter too much.

  4. I had a great lunch conversation today and it got me thinking. Where do you want to sit in the new stadium? I understand we need to know what it looks like. But in general, do you want to sit on the sidelines, the end zone, by a tunnel, the club section? Do you want to sit higher up? Do you want to be by the field?

I’m going to be honest I don’t know for myself. Just curious if others have given it any thought, including if you want to stay in a similar location to where you are now or if you would like to be in a different part of the stadium.

Duke an actual ACC team beat UCF but their season was a huge success compared to ours. I hate them but their athletic directors seem to know how to find coaches that don't lose more games than they win over time. Our AD's seem to specialize in finding guys that lose a lot more games than they win. For example they had the laughable 0-12 season, conversations and changes were obviously made with their young inexperienced coach Frost, and he turned it around. We had a guy that had two seasons of straight losing practically with one fbs win against temple and our athletic director extended him for stability. There is a big difference in how they value winning compared the the current Ad.  I want USF to get back to being a top 50 program bare minimum and stomping UCF again, but we need to find coaches and AD's that value winning over stability.

Sure but they are average at best. Better than us? Yes. Better positioned than us? Yes. But they are an average, middle of the road athletics program.

You can be the biggest ***** in the world and if you are a winner people love and will follow (Saban/Belichick) . You can be a nice guy the biggest loser ever  fbs coaching wise and everyone wants you gone (Jeff Scott). So lets see what AG is made of. Does he want to build a winner or just tell USF about it.

    Rhetorical question?

    1. If you could select one non-conference football opponent to add to our Future Schedules, who would it be? USC
    2. What is your all time three headed USF Football monster (QB-RB-WR)? Flowers Mack Adams
    3. Favorite summer activity? Swimming
    4. Most important in new Bulls on campus stadium, shade or beverage selection (assuming water fountains are standard)? Shade
    5. J-pop or K-pop? I don’t know what this is

    It shoulda been a stadium...

    We're way off topic...but.

It was clear from the moment we walked into RJS that RJS had to be a temporary home if we were to be at all serious about football.  Yes, I know Leavitt liked playing there, he said it helped him recruit.  He wanted Spring Games there.  But as a fan, alumnus and donor it sickened me being in that place  - it was not home.  Pirate ship, colors, couldn't paint endzones, everything about it. Remember the ordeal to put an In Appreciation 8 x 10 plaque in the stadium?

I made the case to a couple of administrators back then in season one of RJS football (they thought I was nuts).  I was told it would be at least ten years. So that was what, 1999 (first year in RJS)?  By 2009 we were beginning our descent.

But we did build administration/baseball/softball/soccer etc.  Football, the cash cow, remained at RJS.

We had a team that got great national press EVERY GAME - showing the trailer and where we had come from (using car lights to illuminate the "practice field") how the program that had been built, the upsets, the season of practice and preparation, Auburn, the NFL picks, etc..

Then with no significant gain in football investment, the Big East crumbles and we fire Leavitt, fracture a fan base and erase our exciting past.  Sponsors/Donors flee.  The iron was hot (or very warm) and we completely whiffed.

Yes, I am trying to put it behind me.  The opportunity was there...it was STARING US IN THE FACE but USF mis-stepped to put it lightly.  I'm hopeful in believing we have people in the seats NOW that realize what we MUST do.

    Amen!

Part of the conversation I had with @Triple B pretty much falls in line with what you wrote.

On July 1, 2005, the official day that we joined the Big East, we should have announced our intentions to build a Stadium (and IPF) and start the funding at that time. I cannot fathom how much money would have come through that fund from 2007 - 2010 alone.

Agreed. None of us can fix the mistakes of the past. All we can do is make decisions now moving forward to do it right, which is what the university is doing and we should all be proud to support that.
