Rice just may end up being one of the top teams in the AAC this season as crazy as that seems.

And while I agree with you, we still must win this game. And I don’t say that in terms of making a bowl game I say that in terms of following up with what we did this last weekend.

As others have said, baseball I understand.  162 game season and games that should take 2 hours were creeping to 3 1/2 hours.  That is a lot of time over the course of a season.  NCAA football is a dozen games per year.  More of an event, in that case I agree - who cares how long it takes?

Yeah, you were there to watch the game so for me I want it to last as long as possible

  3. I’m praying So hard that we see posts about how people can’t get tickets and how they’re just now not enough seats for the demand and how they are keeping people who just want to cheer on the team out from seeing them play.

I would love every minute and not feel bad for a second.  And that will happen at some point with 35,000 seats even if it’s not immediate.

Anybody who wants to see Alabama can go to that game. The OCS will change that.

It's funny but to me that was one of the best parts of his regime ..... obviously I must not have been negatively affected as some were ... but he had to try something to get the donor level up. The level had been pretty anemic in comparison to programs at our level, and even below.

    But in doing so:

    1) Donor levels did not see a significant rise

    2) Everyone moved to the west side, making the stadium look empty and overcrowding the west club

    3) Diminished a large portion of the value of priority points

    4) He actually reduced giving requirements in several areas which encouraged to give less and based at least in my section did not increase donations/season tickets.

Didn't want to start a new thread. Friends of ours are dropping USF football tix because they feel an OCS at $320 million is a total waste. They've had season tix from the beginning.  He's a grad and told us this is their last year.

    This is the minority

I heard some OCS complaints from some long time fans at last week's tailgate.  I think the issue seems to be that they believe they will have to pay much more than they are paying now, and most likely they will be "priced out" of the club amenities that they have taken for granted at the pro stadium (club lounge, A/C, etc.).  I guess I understand, but those things are not really college football.  I know I will be giving up those kinds of amenities (unless I move up to Iron Bull someday), but I am trading them for something that I think is better:  games on campus with a college game day atmosphere and a "true" home stadium.

So the Club area will be smaller so yea some may get priced out of that but I’m sure they will still have price points that work for them.

Could be wrong but I'm thinking the actual seats that come with Club access in the ocs will be relatively competitive with today's so there may not be much a problem there. I'm guessing it's going to be the ones currently buying the cheaper season tix available but then getting their donation level up to $1000 to acquire Club access that will be hit the hardest if they still desire Club access in the new stadium ...

My question with that is, because I believe you are correct, is do those people stop giving at the thousand dollar level because they can no longer get club access? If so, how many of those people are there and how much of a hit will that take to the donor base?

I do remember when Harlan changed the donation/ticketing algebra

They Way that he changed donation levels and priority points was a disaster and one of the worst parts of his regime. It baffles my mind that they have not fixed these errors at this point. I hope it gets corrected in the future.

We all want the same thing to watch USF win. WE all just express it differently. I just don't want diehard fans don't get priced out.  I  hope people with kids and big families don't get priced out. I have cheaper seats but still support my bulls. I guess we will just have to wait and see what the stadium seat prices are.

I am beyond confident that there will be price levels available for everybody who is in the stadium now as a season-ticket holder-  it may just mean being in a different location, but so what- you will be in the stadium!

The number announced now is all tickets distributed whether sold, comped, groups, etc.  This means anyone who has a document that would get them access into the stadium whether they show up or not.  I have to say there must have been a couple thousand people in the west club for the entire third quarter.

I was on the East side for a bit as I won HOF tix from a USF Auction. I can’t believe how empty that club was compared to the west side.

Turnout was great but must have been a lot of newbies there because times when FAMU were down at that end, at the goal line, they weren't doing much of anything noise wise....

And those who are always there - so frustrating

Nobody knows how to get loud, they would say "Get loud bulls" on the jumbotron and nobody would do anything. They need to have the noise meter to get people loud i think.

No one forgets it, it’s entirely made up. What all was on the list? How to was it forced ranked and how does that compare to the other teams we would be competing against? Even John said before that Alabama would never be coming to our OCS like they are this coming week, so how would big teams like playing somewhere less but a conference value handicapping yourself for no explicable reason?

Like a 12 year old who just talks louder when he is clearly wrong.

At least this is one topic we agree on entirely, I’ve never been so sure of anything than that no one in the last three rounds of realignment mentioned a topic of an OCS to anyone.

This lie grew out of but how could they have picked UCF over us? And that being the logical choice over the NY6 wins, the national relevance, the P6 wins and the national championship parade (that our fans made fun of their OCS for years helped UCF fans keep inspired to fan the flames of that insane take).

I wonder how the B12 brass sleeps at night after making us commit to a $350 million project and then almost immediately going beyond full in conference members before we could reasonably be expected to complete it.

There goes PUC spewing things he knows nothing about. If you took 1/2 of your passion that you have that is against our university you could be a positive force for USF.

Really!? Wow, I am certainly glad you clarified that for me. But, If you go back and read the thread we’re talking about ATTENDANCE. In particular, average attendance. I simply stated that some would want to throw out the Bama game to show that our AVERAGE ATTENDANCE was not warranted because of the crappy AAC.

Yeah but you can’t do that. If you schedule great out of conference games then you get an attendance boost. I am curious how many we have at the Bama game?
